A remake of the Spanish film REC, a downtown Los Angeles apartment building is quarantined after a mysterious deadly and highly contagious strain of rabies breaks out. A reporter and her cameraman are among those trapped inside.

Television reporter Angela Vidal (Jennifer Carpenter) and her cameraman (Steve Harris) are assigned to spend the night shift with a Los Angeles Fire Station. After a routine 911 call takes them to a small apartment building, they find police officers Wilensky (Columbus Short) and McCreedy (Andrew Fiscella) already on the scene in response to blood curdling screams coming from one of the apartment units. Unbeknownst to them, a woman has contracted a rare strain of rabies.

Damn, they make remakes so fast (the original was just released in Spain on Nov 2007). All I can say is that based on the original this trailer gives away MAD spoilers. The original is quite good if you can get your hands on it (there are DVDrips of the original all over the internet).

I was going to say the same thing. Then again, the success of Cloverfield probably also has somthing to do with this being remade so quickly.

BTW the original film's trailer thread (which was not searchable before renaming the subject cos the thread starter probably knows jack about naming threads properly.)
