2009 Movie Blockbusters
Haven't done a list for a while, but with so many movies getting released next year, thought I'd complie a list of what I think will be the "blockbuster" movies of 2009.
What do you think? How will they do? Any missing from the list?
-->All dates are US releases (subject to change)<--

I can see films like The Watchman, Harry Potter, Star Trek and Transformers 2 all doing well.
I can see the likes of Dragonball, 2012 and GI JOE doing badly.
From the list I'm only really bothered in seeing The Watchman, Star Trek, Fast and the Furious and Angels and Demons. The blockbuster lineup doesn't seem as exciting as 2008.

Haven't you noticed the overwhelming negative buzz on the net about Dragonball...this movie is gonna flunk. The last time I remember a movie getting so much negative comments before it's release was with "Catwoman"...we all know what happened to that one.

the only movie I am interested in seeing right now that I would pay a movie ticket price for is Transformers 2
which once again brings me back to my previous argument about Hollywood!!

I can't wait to see Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince. I am so pissed that they pushed it back to July, Just for a summer release. If I wasn't such a bug fan I wouldn't even bother, but hey. I can't help it. I think those books are awesome.

While the push back of harry potter was annoying, I heard it occured because of the writer's strike. If it was not pushed back there likely would have been a substantial wait (2+ years rather than 1.5 years) between the two parts of Deathly Hallows.

I think Ice Age 3 will make 200 million; the last one made 195 million gross in the USA by September 2006
