1st it is all about making the $$$ when they have run out of fresh ideas.

2nd is a chance to make it better than the original and hope for the best.

I noticed the budget on this is half what Stallone's version was.

    Judge Dredd 1995~ $90 mil ~ http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=judgedredd.htm

    Dredd 20?? ~$45 mil

    Dear God!

Now I lay me down to sleep.

I pray the lord my soul to keep.

God bless those who are so dear.

And would you please send those Hollywood Losers,

who are remaking and rebooting all these movies that were already Crappy and Box Office Losers to begin with,

    to Hell?!?

    Amen!

Was never into Judge Dredd, but I was wondering...how would all these reboots fit in with the way the economy is going right now? Are there going to be enough people able to afford to go see them?

After watching this trailer, this movie looks "dredd"-ful. Stallone's version looked better. But I shall reserve final "judge"ment until I see the movie in full.

Here's a shocker...Dredd has a fresh rating of 100% at Rotten tomatoes with about 22 reviews so far.

Could it really be that good?

This surprised me when I first saw the reviews on rotten tomatoes a couple of days ago. Now I am officially intrigued with this movie. I take back what I initially said about it.

Im looking forward to this movie, it looks like they gone a more "serious" way and made a good movie. But I didnt mind the old one, its supposed to be funny and over the top, and it is.
