    Question DVD+R vs DVD-R

    Hi all,

I need some help understanding something....

I tried to burn some trailers to a playable DVD, and had my burner refuse to do it. However, it still burned a DVD slideshow, and a DVD data disc just fine. It just refused to finish a playable DVD movie. The discs were Maxwell DVD+R.

I then bought some discs that worked in the past, Sony DVD-R, and it worked just fine!

What happened? What made it different?

My guess it doesnt work cose ur player is too old n doesnt support DVD+R. DVD-R has been around when DVDs were made (1997??) n DVD+R is only a few years old n a official DVD format only this year approved
