    Talking Movie List Forum Critics 2009 Awards - Best Picture

    redbear asked me here, where is the Movie List Forum Critics 2009 awards at...??

    So... here they are!

    First we go with Best Picture. I'm sorry, but there are only 20 slots in the pool, so I must choose 20 movies from 2009 to create this event. Wide release - 700 theaters count, is minimum (except The Hurt Locker, because I think many from us watched already this movie). I also choose movies with great/good reviews or big WOM.

    I hope you'll enjoy this. Go and vote for Best Picture. There will be next categories. In 40 days (February 15th), poll will be closed.

    Sorry Kn'thrak, but in US, Parnassus is right now only 10 days in release in 4 theatres. In Poland I must wait some weeks for the premiere.

    So this is only for the US-market and release dates? My Movie of the Year 2009 is "Gran Torino", because here in germany it was released this year.

    Do we have to choose one from these 20 films or we can also assume one that is not in the list?

    I haven't seen all of them, but from the ones I've seen I'm going to choose between Avatar, Inglourious Basterds and Watchmen. Hmm, it's a hard choice... OK, my passion for comics will be the deciding factor, so I vote for Watchmen.
