I remember seeing the original on TV and it scared the heck out of me.

I was about 8 years old then.

I hope the remake will be just as good or even better but without the blood and gore and cheap effects gags they use in Horror movies nowadays.

Furthermore, Katie Holmes is attached to this project as the lead role character.

Her useless Husband Cruise is a control freak.

I hope he doesn't try to control every aspect of this film, from production to directing to screenplay, to what dialogue and scenes Katie can say and do and not say and do, etc

then he will ruin the movie.

But of course, Guillermo Del Toro is the producer; he will most likely tell Cruise to take a hike and go to he*ll!!
