It has been a long long time since any word on the A-Team movie has surfaced. Today comes word that the John Singleton directed pic is ready to rock and roll and has gone into development. No word yet on the cast. The word is they plan on making this film more action oriented and not so comedic. The original Mr T is also set to make a cameo appearence. The story will also be updated and not focus on the vietnam aspects that were involved in the series.

Hip Hop radio station Power 106 reported this morning that Hip Hop Icon Ice Cube will be taking over the role of B.A. Baracus that was made famous on the hit 80’s show by Mr. T. Ice Cube made it clear that he would not be impersonating Mr. T in his effort to bring Baracus to the large screen, stating that he would bring his own flavor to the role.

Well now it appears there has been some changes in personnel (Director, cast).

    http://themovieblog.com/2009/06/liam...n-a-team-movie

Remember back when it was announced that there was going to be an A-Team movie? Yeah, there was great joy amongst all the people… and then there was word that Ice Cube was going to be cast as B.A. Baracus and we all screamed out a collective WTF!?!?!?! Yes, at that moment we all gave up on any hope that an A-Team movie would be any good.

But then hope shinned over the mountains and washed us in it’s warm glow. They dumped the director and rumored attached cast and started essentially from scratch. Now leading the film is director Joe Carnahan (Smokin Aces) and our first solid casting news is here!

As rumored before, Bradley Cooper (The Hangover, Alias) is FACE!!!! Amazing casting! He’s absolutely perfect for the role and wil do Dirk Benedict proud!

And there’s more. Apparently they’re close to signing Liam Neeson as Hannibal Smith to lead the A-Team! How bad *** that?!?!?!

I should also mention that there are unsubstantiated rumors that Woody Harrelson is up to play Murdock… but I doubt that will happen.

So the big question left lingering is… WHO CAN POSSIBLY BE B.A.?!?!?! I’ve got a feeling no matter who they cast people won’t be happy. Can you picture anyone in that iconic role?

I like Liam Neeson. This could be cool.

    Exclamation

Liam doesn't have the charisma and mannerism that George had and brought to the character of Hannibal Smith!!

I only remember what Mr. T's character was like. It has been too long since I've seen any A-Team episodes.
