I am not watching the Oscars live.

I stopped watching it live a couple of years ago.

They dragged on the first 90% of the show with slow long speeches, skits, tv commercials and then toward the end,

they rush through Best Picture and Best Director and pretty much kick the winner(s), who are trying to do their speech, off the stage because they want to wrap up the show.

The part that annoying the most is everytime they cut to commercial, the announcer says:

The Oscars will return after this with Best Picture or Best Actor, etc etc

but you and I know that's still 2 hrs away!!

It's a lot easier to just mind my own business and check in from time to time on the winners on the internet and sometime, I just go to sleep and find out the results the next day.

There's only 7 hrs and 45 min to post your predictions!!

    LOL!

They bet on anything in Las Vegas just to make a buck!!

Why aren't "best doc-short", " best short-animated", or "best short- live" not among the categories for this contest?

You're waiting for a train, a train that will take you far away. You know where you hope this train will take you, but you can't be sure. But it doesn't matter - because we'll be together.

I don't know but most people never get to see those!

I never seen any of them every year they are nominated.

Where does one goes to see them?

Do they even get played at the movie theater or is there a special website they are hosted on?

This is true. I was just curious as to why they are not part of this contest. No biggie.
