Movie-Specific Songs
What are your favorite songs composed specifically for a movie? Mine are:
Aimee Mann - Save Me (Magnolia)
Bjork & Thom Yorke - I've Seen it All (Dancer in the Dark)
Simon & Garfunkel - The Song of Silence (The Graduate)
Simon & Garfunkel - Mrs. Robinson (The Graduate)
Radiohead - Talk Show Host (Romeo + Juliet)At the center of the world there is a statue of a girl. She is standing near a well with a bucket bare and dry. I went and looked her in the eyes and she turned me into sand. This clumsy form that I despise scattered easy in her hands. And it came to rest upon a beach, with a million others there. We sat and waited for the sea to stretch out so that we could disappear into the endlessness of blue, into the horror of the truth. We are far less than we knew.
Yes, we are far less than we knew.

Air - Playground Love (The Virgin Suicides)
Everclear - Local God (Romeo + Juliet)

You know where you hope this train will take you, but you can't be sure. But it doesn't matter - because we'll be together.

yeah.. everything from the graduate is good.
Actually, "Mrs Robinson" is the only song (kind of) written for the movie. And the full version was written was written after the movie became such a big hit.
All songs from The Graduate are, of course, my favourite.
But I also like:
Ray Parker Jr - Ghostbusters (Ghostbusters)
Duran Duran - A View To A Kill (A View To A Kill)
A-ha - The Living Daylights (The Living Daylights)
Garbage - The World Is Not Enough (The World Is Not Enough)
Secret Garden (Jerry Maguire)
and lots more I can't remember right now.
