the opening box office predictions for Super 8 is only $40 million?
How is that possible?!?
J. J. Abrams' Star Trek opened in May 2009 at $79 Million.
Steven Spielberg's War of the Worlds opened Wednesday, June 29th, 2005 at $77 Million including June 30th to July 4th, 2005 (Wed to Mon).
Even Indiana Jones 4 made $121 Million in its 4 days opening weekend (Thu to Sun) in May 2008!!
J. J. Abrams + Steven Spielberg should be $80 opening weekend!!.

Twister (though it was fun), Hereafter (worst score ever), The Legend of Zorro (just terrible)... Oddly enough, I thought he had more terrible movies like The Haunting but I guess he wasn't credited? Not sure why... It's still an incredibly impressive list of films he's been involved in.

Producer of 128 titles, director of 50 titles, writer of 21 titles including the Medal of Honor video games (I didn't know that until now) and the list goes on!
To think that many studios turned down his Jaws project and laughed at him - the movie that became the very first Summer Movie and created the Summer Movies season craze!!
Just like the studio heads that turned Lucas and his Star Wars movie away - saying it wouldn't make a dime!!
Steven and George must be a Gazillionaires now!!

now they are saying $30 million?
the reason being is the trailer is not revealing anything so it's not generating interest in moviegoers!
that's just dumb!
you go see the movie to see what is it about!
are people so lazy and narrow minded nowadays that they must know everything about a movie including plot spoilers before they go see it?!?
if the trailer shows everything, what's the point of seeing the movie then?
