    Question Need post-apocalyptic movie reccomendation

Been recently enjoying the great TV series "The Walking Dead" and it got me looking for more great post-apocalyptic movie reccomendations. I really like the sub-genre because it explores what happens when everything is stripped away. It makes us ask what does it take to be human.

This sub-genre is different than the Doomsday. In that style, the end of the world typically doesn't happen through 95% of the story. It may happen at the end, but the focus of the story is on the "before" rather than the "after".

What do you think? I am willing to consider films from anywhere in the world.

I recommend Signs! great one! Skyline is pure sh*t, useless movie, I can't believe they are doing a sequel!

It was an OK movie. 2.5/5, nothing impressive or breathtaking.

so, you are looking for pre-apocalyptic movies, right ??

    The Road is excellent.
Book of Eli was too religious for me, but if you can get past that nonsense, it is a decent movie (though i would never watch it again).
Mad Max / Road Warrior - both excellent
Land of the Dead was ok. Diary of the Dead was ok. Survival of the Dead was dumb.

but those are more of an 'after the event' rather than 'leading up to' ...
