The "Hunger Games" movie franchise is based on a trilogy by Suzanne Collins, but the film series itself will include four films. Deadline reports that the final book, "Mockingjay," will be split into two parts.

The first part of "Mockingjay" will arrive November 21, 2014, with the fourth and final "Hunger Games" movie slated for November 20, 2015.

"Hunger Games" fans have already made note of the November 22, 2013 release date for the second film in the series, "Catching Fire." It was announced earlier this week that Philip Seymour Hoffman will portray Plutarch Heavensbee in that installment, making him the first new (confirmed) actor to sign up for the franchise, with Jena Malone reportedly circling the role of tribute Johanna Mason.

"The Hunger Games" films also star Jennifer Lawrence as heroine Katniss Everdeen, Josh Hutcherson as her fellow competitor/love interest Peeta Mellark, and Liam Hemsworth as her friend/other potential love interest, Gale Hawthorne.

Entertainment Weekly has some theories on where the final novel's story can be chopped in half, including the point at which District 13 is attacked; and when Peeta's rescued in the Capitol. Where you would break up the story to make two films?
