The first one was a novelty.
The second one was you want to know what happened after the first one and it turned out to be a prequel instead.
The third one was is this story getting too over-exposed too quickly and damn, it's another prequel?
How many times are they going to milk the cow?
Now a fourth film?
Yawn!
p.s. pretty good quality footage for webcam video... how realistic, NOT!

I guess there's supposed to be a total of 6 of these. And I agree with J7. And to add to thoughts about the third one, what made the first one scary was the fact that there wasn't really much too look at. In the third, they did more special effects and stuff which took away from the realism (for lack of a better word). This just doesn't look like it's going to fit.

The first one didn't even scare me.
I haven't been scared by a horror movie in a long time, and horror movies that are gory and bloody are just funny to me, not scary;
I don't get grossed out by them anymore either.
I have seen enough real blood and guts in my life to let horror movies scare me.

I think there's only been 2 movies that have caught me off guard in the past like 15 years. One was The Strangers and the other was Paranormal Activity. I think what made them so effective were the suspenseful moments in them. Other than that, I'm more of an old school horror fan. Things like The Shining, Poltergeist, The Exorcist... Gory and bloody things aren't even remotely scary to me. They're more just used as torture porn.
