    Tomorrowland MKV Audio

Quick question, is anyone else getting the dialogue/center channel coming from all speakers?

The characters on screen are in the center, but I'm getting George Clooney in the center and back-left channels only, even when he's on-screen.

Was this trailer originally in 7.1 sound? I've come across some where the 7.1 audio (with one of the channels being silent) messes up the channel mapping.

What's weird is that I'm getting dialogue from all the channels but sparktank is getting something different.

    Well, I'm viewing on PC.
    Decode chain:

For video, that's only in GraphStudioNext, in MPC-HC, it goes LAV Video -> FFDShow -> MadVR.
But, that's irrelevant in case of diagnosing audio.

LAV Audio decodes and remaps to 5.1 (in case audio might be 7.1; I don't bother changing it per audio format).

Some info here about the mixing process: https://www.doom9.org/showthread.php...28#post1462728

And then with FFDShow, it downmixes again to stereo for playback on my speakers.
When I want to play back on my receiver, I disable channel mapping on FFDShow.
Since my receiver is old, I chose to send the signals out via 3 pairs of RCA cords to give 6 discreet channels.
Sounds better than going through a digital/optical toslink.

With FFDShow, I just hit "solo" on each channel to listen for any discrepancies.
And found George Clooney to be only in those two channels.

Although, this ain't the first I've seen issues with channel mapping in studio_distributed trailers.

I remember back when Skyline (2010) had a trailer released on Apple in 5.1, it was all out of order that there was severe clipping when you watched it.
Only after you demuxed the AAC audio and remapped it manually to proper 5.1, it sounded normal.
