Heads up - the domestic trailer that's being shown in cinemas is slightly different from the online-released & international versions: http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansit...news/?a=115314

You'd think Fox would be a little forthcoming about there being an alternate trailer with Kingsmen. It could drive more fans to see the film just for the new trailer footage.

I don't honestly think this would make a noticeable difference, it's only a trailer.
It's a rather expensive way to go about seeing a few extra shots of a movie which has been plagued with past failures, needless to say, it will make it's way across the web regardless if it actually exists.

I'm all for suspending my disbelief. But when they said "interdimensional travel" just shut my brain down.

It's no fun to google that.
Now I'm wondering if that's really them at all or if they switched places with their alternate selves from a different reality or if they mutated because of this contact with an alternate reality and then that got me thinking if that's the cause then how would they survive our own reality with parts from a different reality?

The most fun I had with multiple universes was Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths.
Before that, it was Jet Li's "The One".

I'll wait for the movie for more information on their interdimenionsal travel.
For all we know, the originals are completely obliterated and replaced.

And I'd rather not even think about dimensions greater than our own.
Carl Sagan proved plenty that we don't need to be thinking about those dimensions...

General "interdimensional" seems to imply alternate reality/alternate universe.

Thor's travelling seems to be more like interstellar travelling.

Space travel can be viewed as such:
\_Interplanetary (planet to plant in a given galaxy)
\_Interstellar (star to star from any point in the universe to another)
    |_ Wormhole/Event horizons to jump through space (cut down time)
    |_ Conventional propulsion either at fast (light) speeds or slow speeds
    ||->slow speed would require cryogenic stasis for manned travelling to prevent aging/death

I have no idea what category "interdimensional" would fall under.
Not quite "space/time", that's more time travel and tangible to interstellar travel.
    \_Interdimensional
    |-> ??? Unknown event

The Bifrsot bridge in Thor seems to use a form of interstellar travel from one point in the universe to another point in the same reality.

The FF creating "interdimensional travel" suggests that they are to explore an alternate reality/alternate universe no longer native to their own.
Much like Fox/Syfy (formerly Sci-Fi Channel) old series: Sliders (1995-1999) travelling to parallel universes.

It's clear that they go to the alternate universe/reality and come back.
But what happens to them and when it happens (a direct influence in the AU/AR or during the return to original U/R) is what will need to be seen during the film itself.
Which renders all the thousands of possibilities I had thunk now academic.

I'll go see this one just to learn how they approach ID travel.

Just found out the comics cover something that blasts everything I wrote out of the water.
    By miles.
    EDIT: by astronomical units.

And they say ignorance is bliss.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2...flopped? Agree to disagree but that movie made 709 million $ at BO.
Plus the Sony-Disney deal initially fell, information that ended up in the media thanks to Sony servers hack. Clearly that after the leak the internet (media) gone wild and sony was forced to make the deal. Disney/Marvel it's a lucky Corporation, desperate to bring him (willing to invest billions). Now they have the money to pay tv channels in showing whole Avengers: AOU via clips.

It still was a disappointment to Sony; to them it underperformed at the box office.

I think it was the lowest grossing-Spidey film out of all five. That's not a good thing when you're trying to get your recently rebooted franchise off the ground.
