Seems like it's a DVDFab problem. Shame because it's the only app that can rip 3D Blu-ray properly on Mac (the rest are fake 3D from 2D)

Did You also encounter this problem with other 24fps 3D ISO trailers?
The Popcorn Hour A400 of a friend of mine seems to show the same artifacts when playing back this trailer on a Samsung 3D TV.
The actual standard for 3D video is 1920x1080 23.976fps. Perhaps the 24fps setting might be the cause of the artifacts?

Hmm the source frame (before encoded into MVC and AVC) doesn't have that artifact:

I'll have to look into it.

I've uploaded an 23.976 version of the trailer, so You can check:

Nope - all the others are fine...

And all these artefacts and juddering are for the entire duration of the trailer.

So You didn't experience any artefacts and juddering with this trailer?:

I ask You this because I encoded that trailer exactly the same way as this one.

Just tried it - yeah seems to be a DVDFab problem. Although it did work for Star Trek Into Darkness...
Anyway need to try another method of ripping this on Mac...

I ripped trailer #2 with MakeMKV on Windows which does no recompression and I can see artifacts. I'm not entirely convinced its a DVDFab problem. I haven't checked trailer #1.

    Hello Mistar Muffin,

I'm afraid You are right. I didn't think it was an error in DVDfab either. You can try this one posted below. I encoded this version in the original Blu Ray standard 1920x1080 23.976fps, like I did about 1,5 years ago with my other 3D trailers. This version has no sign of artifacts when I playback the trailer with MVC player free. All other versions do show the artifacts in mvc player free:

Same here when using DVDFab. BD3D2MK3D seems to work fine though.

    Hello Cocomonk22,

Did You try this 3D encode as well and tried to rip it with DVDfab?:

You don't get any artifacts when You rip the 3D iso with BD3D2MK3D?

    Thanks for the feedback.
