Aha. Based on a book. What book. What author? Is it any good? Why is it good? Ensemble cast ... Weaver, Voight, Nelson. So it can't be that bad. What do you think? And Armpit is a f***in funny nickname, don't you think? Thinking bout changing mine to Armpit. What do you think? There's much thinking goin on in this reply, huh? Oh well ... guess the speed has finally kicked in ... :big grin: :big grin:

It's based on Holes (duh) by Louis Sachar. Technically, it's a 'young adult' book. Basically, it's for ages 8-13. It came out when I was in that age group, and I read it. It's pretty good. Sachar has done much better (The Wayside School series comes to mind.) Of course, most people here have no idea what any of this is...

I read Wayside School Arithmetic. Crazy Math problems in that one. But, Sachar wrote the screenplay, so we'll see how it turns out.

Yeah...Sachar did the write the screenplay...so I think it should be pretty good. Being out of the 8-13 age group when I read the book I still found myself entertained and really enjoyed the book. I think this movie will be really good and do significantly well since I am sure many kids/adults alike who have read the book will be ready to go and see it. I have heard really great things about the kid you plays the lead (Stanley Yelnats) Shia Labeouf- not only was he just nominated for a Daytime Emmy, but he is in like 3 movie this year....
