Question vB Code question

I think this solution is better (using like that in some other forum(s). i don't like so much how is done here. read: when U hit like QUOTE u get new open box (explorer user prompt) & then like Copy/Paste the whole text. I'd like to be that way:

U click QUOTE icon & it get it first [x] direct into Message windows. then like Copy/Paste & then again QUOTE icon [/x] to end the whole thing...

understandable JPB? is it possible to do this on this vBulletin?

what U others think about that solution?

well, 'problem' with Me is that I have first to change Language (from Slovenian to English; left ALT + right SHIFT), because on key [ & ] I got other 'keys' (Slovenian ones). thats quite annoying...

i use the quote button. I hit it enter X, then i copy+paste away X with my text. I do this cuz too long quotes gets cut by the quote window. im guessing that the guy who made it didnt bother to raise the number of characters in the textbox.

And now to your question, im guessing its not an option already included, so unless JP actually gets someone to attack the VB code, I dont think we can change this.

And while we are on the subject, i HATE that the quote, html, smiles etc gets put in the end, and not where the "printing line" is in the text. Also this would have been easy to do. Lazy bastared who made these scripts =)

I just took a look at the scripts, they are Javascripts, and not much comments in them so kind of hard to read out why he has done things the way he has. And what all things do, but it dosent seem too hard, so I think I can modify the scripts If needed for anything. Although, about the quote scripts, I like it the way it is, except the placement at the end.

Maybe I'm tired... but I dont understand this thread at all...

When I hit quote, a new page comes up with the message box, and the post quoted.
    its starts with
and ends with
so you can edit out any unneccesary parts and you can type your message above or below it...

He's talking about when you're quotin g an article or something. A message box opens, you type the quote and it get's rid of anything more than a paragraph, forcing you to do it again.

huh. JPB: i/some of us don't like this "a new page comes up with the message box". i'd like to see when u hit like "quote" icon, U get just first [x] direct into YOUR REPLY box. when U finish posting or Copy/Paste thing, u hit "quote" icon once more (then U get [/x])... is now clear?
