Red face And now a dumb question about AVI files

Very embarrassed asking this but here goes

Downloaded some AVI files (Still am actually) I get the first frame of video and all the sound....no more video though.

Using Windows Media Player 9 (hate it) but it says that it is fully updated.

Can anyone recommend a media player or a fix to my problem? I really like the first season of Clone High

Any help would be great guys and girls!!

....ok...it installed itself....now what? Is Windows Media player just suppost to work or do I need a different player?

yeah that does it...my Divx player was just old. God that was so simple I think I'll shoot myself.

Reminds me of the time the grade 10 computer class spent 10 minuites trying to fix a computer and decided it needed a new powersupply or motherboard.

    The powerbar was off.

Thanks for all the help guys
