LOTR: TTT - the evolution of Gollum, the Ents, and MASSIVE in this video feature

March 10, 2003 - This past Thursday, the annual Game Developers Conference featured a general interest keynote by Weta Digital. Former Weta CTO Jon Labrie and a Weta animator were on hand to show how the company created the many digital creatures in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. Over the one-hour keynote, a large amount of rare behind-the-scenes effects work was shown for Gollum, the Ents, and Weta's special software MASSIVE. Of course, we were there with a video camera.

I tend not to watch these The-Making-Of kind of things. There are plenty of them on the DVD for FOTR, and will very likely be many hours on the TTT DVD.

There's only so much I can take.
