MSN acting up?

This is a technical problem having nothing to do with anything, a technical problem all the same.

Every now and then (rarely but it just happened again) I will wonder why someone hasn't responded on MSN and I will notice that it's because I'm offline! huh. Must have lost a connection or something. Login!

I get back on....seems that there are only 1 or 2 contacts online. Everyone must have gotten booted off!

Does this happen to anyone else sometimes? Me thinks either:[list=a][*]MSN has a problem with their server and restarts everything[*]Microsoft likes messing with people who stay online all day, never really at their computer by kicking the entire system offline.[*]MSN is just being another Microsoft product.[/list=a]

i have the exact problem.. suddenly i dont get any responses to a few mins... then realize i am already offline, the problem is MSN does not tell me that i am offline... only once i try to send a message..lol

from how i understand it microsoft has a few different servers.. youll notice the extensions on hotmail emails such as:
http://sea2fd.sea2.hotmail.msn.com/
http://pv3fd.pav3.hotmail.msn.com
http://lw9fd.law9.hotmail.msn.com
and heaps more.. every now and then i think a connection between the servers is interrupted and you will find yourself booted off, this would also explain sometimes when you log back in you only have a couple of contacts... this is because they are using the same server you are... once the other servers reconnect the rest of the contact list is loaded! thats my theory.. it could be wrong though hehehe
