    lets make a vote...

for the most of ya- sorry i lost my temper. i am an american and i'm proud to be one and it's offensive when people tell us to f*ck off (none of you guys said that) and being a stubborn person i am.... i stand up for myself.

i'm a good person. and i don't like wars. wars are bad. innocent lives get killed... especially soldiers who don't have a choice.

lets just make this plain and simple... no opinions here. i want us to all like each other again.

    so do yall forgive me?!?!

I do beliveve that saddam must go, but I do think UK, US & CO should have waited for weapon inspectors do finish the job, and UN to agree with forced removal of saddam. I think its important that we follow the international laws we have set up together.

I'm with ya, Rad. No one in their right mind likes war. Even so, it is at times necessary; always has been, always will be. No one may want to believe that, but unfortunately, it's true. Stay strong Radstar, stay strong. You are entitled to your opinion! Don't feel bad for sticking to it.

War sucks but that's the way USA has chosen to go. Now that they're in, it seems like they're dong a good job.

Saddam has had chances to disarm since 1991. I'm not a war monger but there's a point when enough is enough. If Saddam valued his country and it's people, he would have
    a/disarmed a long time ago
    b/stepped down
    c/left within the 48 hours

One thing you learn through history is there are a few people you don't mess with. Canadians, Americans and Brits - upsetting 2/3 is really a VERY bad idea

that's not what i meant- you dodo.

all soldiers volunteered to be in the military.... no one gets drafted..... but what i meant by not having a choice is that more than half of the people in the military are only in the military for education, money, and/or they have nothing else to do. i had a boyfriend who wuz in the navy and he wuz only there to have an education and schlorship. he kinda explained it to me but no one in the military wants to go to war. war is a terrifying thing to be a part of. that's what i meant. if you're in the military and you're an american citizen or you live in america and america is at war.... you're automatically shipped out to war. ....which is sad.

i'm sorry tisoy!!!!! no more war threads!!!!

thats only to USA (i think drafting was dropped after Vietnam War), here in germany we still get drafted, in my 9 months service starting this June, I may even be sent to Africa or the Gulf Region.

Army Drafting is still going on in most countries and especially in Europe.

    I am a shallow person. I don't really care.

It's probably part of the human nature to destory its own kind for whatever reason, selfish or justified.

Whether there's a war or not doesn't really better or worsen my chance of finding my soulmate/f**k-buddy of the opposite sex.

Whether there's a war or not doesn't really better or worsen my opportunities of being recognised for my professionalism as an editor.

Whether there's a war or not doesn't really better or worsen credit card bill of next month... I'm still buying DVDs and out-of-prints stuff like hell I shouldn't have.

I am a shallow person. That's all the things I care about. If there's a bomb dropped right on top of me, it just ends my misery of trivial daily worries.

I know I won't take any of my DVD collections, my works and belongings with me to wherever the place I'll be going to after I died. But I still clinge to them as tight as I can till my last breath.

Besides no one will moan for my insignificant loss. They moan for 'bigger' causes.
