    Hardboiled trailer

    He is gone right?

    Genre: Art/Foreign
Synopsis: When a tough police officer's (Chow Yun-Fat) partner is brutally murdered, he joins forces with another loose-cannon cop (Tony Leung) to exact his own bloody revenge on the gun-smuggling gangsters responsible for his friend's death. A lot of action, guns, and violence, all masterfully rendered by action maestro John Woo (THE KILLER, MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 2). This is the last film the director made in his native Hong Kong before emigrating to the United States.
    MPAA Rating: Not Rated.
Starring: Chow Yun-Fat, Tony Leung Chiu-Wai, Theresa Mo, Philip Chan, Anthony Wong
    Directed by: John Woo
    Written by: Barry Wong
    Donated By: Editman
    Converted By: Tisoy

Yey, one of the most 'controversial' trailers of the year (controversial in the sense that two people got banned from the Forum, 1 forever, because of this! ) A must-see for John Woo fans or if you're just curious.

    Thanks moviebuff for hosting.

Actually this version of the trailer was from the Fox Lorber DVD, instead of the Criterion (since it doesn't have English intertitles in Criterion's version).

And yes, the Criterion Collection of the movie is OOP a long time ago. (Actually I think all US DVD version of this movie is currently OOP.) Your editman, however, happened to have brought not one, but two legit copies from eBay before the bootleg flooeded in.

Thanks, moviebuff. That just gives me a sick idea...

Forum Wars Episode 4: (editman's) A New Menace
Forum Wars Episode 5: The tisoy Strikes Back
Forum Wars Episode 6: Revenge of the MODs

Shouldn't have make fun of it but it's an instant trilogy - one can't help it!

EDIT: Sh*t! Just realised this is my post #911!

Actually FACE/OFF is a rip-off of almost all Woo's pro-A Better Tomorrow Hong Kong movies. eg The final fight scene starts off like the final scene of A Better Tomorrow II (at the end of a funderal.) A kid mixed up in the midst of a gunfight reflects The Killer etc.
