    Smile Holes?

Has anybody even read the book? I've been seeing the trailer for this movie "Holes" on television like everyday, and it always mention that it was adapted from a book. I was just curious if anybody has read the book, and if so is it pretty good? Thank You

Hey...yeah. I read this book. I really really enjoyed it-and I am in my 20 somethings. I feel like it is like the Harry Potter books (not in theme) but in the fact that anyone can enjoy them. I also really am looking forward to the movie. Ususally I get nervous when books are made into movies. But the author of the book wrote the screenplay and was very involved in the actuall production of the movie so it should be good. Hope this helps a bit.

Haven't read the book. Just saw the title and thought it could have been a porno

Then I saw the trailer. We'll see. But I think I might want to read the book first.

Yes, she is the Warden. John Voigt is also in the movie as Mr. Sir, who is also a "camp" employee. I put a picture in for ya to see her- she looks like the perfect Warden IMO.

Isn't Holes written by Louis Sacher, the same guy that wrote "Sideways stories from Wayside School"? I loved those books as a kid. How involved was he in the making of the movie? If he helped write the script then I am sure it will be a good adaptation.

Plus, I'm impressed with the caliber of the adult stars of the film. Looks like it is a family movie, not just for kids.

I saw someone today at school with the book for this movie.

I've talked to a couple people about this movie and the majority all think it will be pretty bad or boring or even both for that matter. In my opinion, I think it looks alright I guess it just takes someone that is still close to their child spirit to think that though. I don't care how old I am, I think I will always just been able to always act like a big kid. I'm 17 and most of my favorite things are all basicly set for 3-7 year olds, its just fun stuff and this movie reminds me of that.
