Map of New Zeland locations used in LOTR
Here is an interesting map drawn in LOTR style, that shows what locations in New Zeland were used for filming 'The Lord of The Rings' trilogy. The two images I posted bellow are smaller versions of the map: the first image is the list of the set locations (you can't really read all the names here clearly), and the second image is the complete map. This only for the extreme LOTR (book & movie) fans like me.
And here are the direct links for those who want to download the much bigger versions of this map:
set locations 1240x1704 (587 KB)
complete map 1800x2656 (1.4 MB)
Smaller versions:

The only set from Lord of the Rings I've been to is Hobbiton in Matamata, which I went to last year. It was only open for a few weeks before it was dismantled. Heaps of the sets were dismantled but I think they're keeping a few. Like Helm's deep by wellington. i've seen it - never been close to it though.
