Talking "Hero"
I Watched the Movie Yesterday on DvD and my first impression was......what was this movie... but after i followed the story the movie became more and more interesting....the fight scenes are so wonderful piece of art...great "not mainstream" movie....
If You got the chance to watch it ...go for it.. but it could be more beatiful @ a big cinema and so the pic would work better...better impression
What do you think of the movie ?!

I think it's boring. Didn't like it at all! But that's just my opinion.

I like this movie. It's maybe a little slow, and a lot comparisons can be made to "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon", but the story is nice and there are some very beautiful scenes...excellent photography.

Hero has without a doubt the best cinematography, and the best soundtrack I've seen this year. The performances by all the main players were amazing, and the story was excellant.
If you liked the story in Hero then check out Rashumon by Akira Kurosawa. I haven't seen it yet, but I am going to check it out, ask Robodan though. He'll know how good it is.

Rashomon is a very old and i think , it's black and white too!!

Hero is visually beautiful , that is no doubt. But it has some flaws: The most disturbing one is that some words between the king and the assassin nameless sound kind of funny in Chinese. That distroys the whole atmosphere the director spend lots of effort to made.ZHao:But in my arms, she was always Lolita

The only thing is most of those mentioned above are not action films. But their merits should not be judged by whether they're action films, or b/w films, or old films.
On the other hand... well, Blair Witch 2: Book of Shadows is quite new, and in colour.Last edited by editman; 05-24-2004 at 02:30 AM.
