    "Down with Love" review

Saw this movie the other day.

For the first time in a long time, I walked out of a movie. In an ode to movies such as "Pillow Talk" (and any movie starring Doris Day and Rock Hudson), it becomes tedious very quickly. They even went as far as to do a "split screen" for phone calls between the main characters. Every single action, glance or gesture had to have a instrumental musical bit attached to it. Acting was severely over the top, which was disappointing considering the talent of the movie (Ewan McGregor, Rene Zellwiger, David Hyde Pierce and others). I will say that the costumes and set design were very miticulously done.

    My rating 2/5 stars

Granite, I hate to be so harsh, but I think you completely missed the point. It's supposed to be overacted, have little musical flares, and the split screen! How could you not love the split screen! It was ****ing BRILLIANT! It certainly had some slow moments, but it didn't deserve to be walked out on.

    3.25/5 stars.
