    $250 mill for what???

is it so expensive to put some dude in a cape in front of a blue-screen?

i'll bet we will never see the budget in the movie. but who cares, as the studio seams to have enough money

j7wild - your number for LOTR are incorrect. The trilogy as a whole was budgeted at $300 million. Because of the nature of the trilogy production, it is not a good basis for an expensive movie.

That being said - Superman (the original) cost only $55 million US, which using an inflation calculator gives a price of roughly $167 million adjusted for inflation.

$250 million - $167 million = $83 million more than the original cost.

What are you spending your money on Mr. Singer? Hopefully a good script!

It seems alot to me, I bet they have their fingers crossed it will be a hit (which I think it will be), alot is riding on relatively unknown actor Brandon Routh though.

As far back as I can remember I always wanted to be a gangster.

Maybe they had to pay Marlon Brando (LMAO)

EDIT: He's dead for all those who didn't know.

Aside from Kevin Spacy (very excited he's in it) the cast won't cost much. I imagine CGI will be the bulk of the expense and marketing expenses will surely have record numbers.
