I don't care what negative things do the critics say about this film - this is one of my favorite Connery's films outside of the James Bond franchise!

This is also Connery's comeback film... without it, he would never had been cast for The Untouchables and win a Best Actor Oscar for that film!!

    Trespass (2011)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1674784/

there once was a good director named Joel Schumacher.

His hit movies ranged from St. Elmo's Fire to The Lost Boys to The Client to Falling Down to A Time To Kill....

then came the late 90s and Joel's directing career faltered with Batman Forever and Batman and Robin and 8mm...

that's when Joel should had known to stop directing and find a new career; but he persisted on directing more films and the more films he directed, the more crap he made!!

Crap like Phone Booth and Veronica Guerin and Bad Company and The Number 23 and a couple of other low budget Horror Porn!!

The only single movie directed by Joel from the mid 90s to 2011 worth a look was Tigerland.

Trespass is not much better than the crap Joel's directing skills put out in the 90s and 2000s.

The plot is so rehashed from previous films: peppered with poor dialogue and the absurd situations that are thrown in for good measure, one after another just to string the plot along for 90 min!!

Nicole Kidman is wasted. Nicolas Cage is wasted. Even the young talented actress who plays their daughter, Liana Liberato is wasted.

There is a lot of crying and screaming and screaming and crying throughout the entire film that you'd just want to scream at them (get out of the house!! you have your chance!! go, you idiot!!) and then you want to cry (why am I watching this film? what did I do to deserve to be tortured by this horrendous film?)

    My rating: 1/5

This is my next to lowest rated film I've seen this year:

    0.5 above Drive;

.25 below Trust and 1.0 below The House of Devil!!

I guess crappy movies love crappy movies company too!!

My advice to Schumacher, the same advice I gave him after Batman Forever and then again after Phone Booth:

Stop directing! Quit your Day Job!!

The good old days when a woman was Hot and Beautiful and she knew it and she was confident about it and she didn't have to take her clothes off to prove it or go to extremes like implants and other kinds of plastic/cosmetic surgery.

    War Horse (2011)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1568911/

War Horse is a Steven Spielberg's film adaptation of a Children book published in 1982 by an English Author.

It tells the story of a Albert, a Boy and a horse that he raised since it was a fawn who are caught up in the horror of World War I.

There is a scene set in No Man's Land between the British and German trenches where 2 soldiers of each opposing army come together to help the horse, the main character of this emotionally charged and moving story.

This is not a War movie, this is a movie about how in the midst of one of the most horrific Wars Man ever waged on each other in its history, a horse can bring out the best compassion and tolerance in every one it touches.

From the brothers who are reluctant to fight in the German Army to the Grandfather and Granddaughter caught up in events they can't control to the Boy who lies about his age to join the British Army so he can find his horse:

every character in this film will touch your heart.

The photography is stunning, the scenes are beautifully set and all the actors and actresses in this film shine in their performances.

This is the film that should had won Best Picture of 2011; not that black and white silent French film.

If you don't shed a few tears during several of the moving scenes in this film; you are either emotionally dead or a sociopath.

    My rating: 5/5

    Silver Streak (1976)

    4/5

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0075223/

I remember seeing this movie in the theater in Italy when I was about 11 years old and loving it.

It's a fun movie and Jill Clayburgh (R.I.P.) is a simple, wholesome, down to earth beautiful woman.

Strange that Clifton James plays a Hilly Billy Sheriff in here too and Richard Kiel plays a Tall Bully Bodyguard with Metal Teeth, 7 months before The Spy Who Loved Me was released.

    Texas Killing Fields (2011)

    2/5

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1389127/

between 1968 and now, there has been over 50+ unsolved cases of young girls and women of all races, missing and some of them found dumped in the swamps and marshes in an area off US 45 near Texas City, outside of Houston, TX.

Supposedly this movie is "based on those true events".

Well, this movie is a mess, from a great cast (Sam Worthington, Jessica Chastain, Chloe Grace Moretz) that are not given much to work with, to the poor editing, to scenes that seems out of place, to the incoherent exposition that makes you wonder if some scenes ended up on the cutting room floor, to the 3rd act and ending that seemed forced.

    Stay away!!

    By the way, this film is directed by Ami Canaan Mann, Michael Mann's daughter;

I guess she is still in Director's training wheels!!

They don't make Action Thrillers like this anymore....

nowadays it's all MTV style quick editing and Jason Bourne style action and fight sequences with big CGI explosions and SFX stunts combined with unnecessary gratuituous violence and porno horror!!

    Goddamn shame that is too!!

    Act of Valor (2012)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1591479/

This movie is not bad at all.

I don't know why the critics shot it down!

They must had been all Liberal Democrats who voted for Obama - Damn Muslim Loving Traitors!!

Every time you have a film that shows Jihad Terrorists and Mexican Drug Cartels Thugs and Filipino Al Qaeda Members getting killed by the U.S. Navy Seals, the true guardians of Freedom and Justice for the entire World, that's a good thing!!

    HOOYAH!!

    I give it 5/5!!

    The Dream House (2011)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1462041/

here we have a film where the Trailer showed one film and the actual film is something else

the entire cast is wasted: Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz, Naomi Watts

this is one movie you should stay away from

    1/5

    The Debt (I) (2010)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1226753/

John Madden of Shakespeare In Love directed this film?

How did he stumbled so low?

The story is plagued by sloppy writing and plot holes, a potentially good thriller ended up being a stinker with a wasted talented cast:

Sam Worthington, Jessica Chastain, Helen Mirren.

Is this the BEST Hollywood can come up with today?

    2/5

p.s this is the 2nd movie I watched in the past week with Worthington and Chastain in it that sucked and I am starting to see a pattern here....

this is the movie The Tourist is a remake of....

it had a good premise but in the end, it turned into a mess with ambiguous plot devices and a thriller devoid of any suspense and thrills...

the only good thing about this film is the French Riviera scenery and the music soundtrack.

    2.75/5
