    Centurion (2010)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1020558/

I was surprised by this film.

After the recent disappointments of similar films like the remake of Conan the Barbarian and the mediocre The Eagle and the over-hyped Spartacus TV Series, this movie is actually good!!

    John Carpenter's Starman (1984)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088172/

a forgotten 80s movie that is very under-rated and very moving.

This movie was snubbed at the Oscars in 1985.

    Jeff Bridges was nominated for Best Actor and he lost and this movie should also had been nominated for Best Picture and Best Actress and Best Screenplay and Best Director and Best Musical Score;

yet once again the Academy Awards decided to play favoritism and politics by nominating movies based on Box Office grosses that year like Amadeus and Places In The Heart and Greystoke and The Killing Fields.

    This movie deserves 5/5

    The Avengers (2012)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0848228/

it's easy to see why this film made $207.4 million domestically in its opening weekend, shattering all previous records.

the women in the audience went to see it for the Metrosexual actors in this film.

the men in the audience went to see it for Scarlett Johansson.

the kids went to see it because it's a comic to movie adaptation.

add the kids that needed to be accompanied by either a Father, Mother or Legal Guardian to get into the theater (and to buy them a ticket),

I would say 1/2 of the people in the USA this past weekend was at this movie!!

I found it okay - to me it was just another Super Hero/Heroine Comics Movie and this time instead of one hero/heroine, you have more than one.

    4/5

(I would had rated it lower if Scarlett was not in it)

    Ms. 45 (1981)

this movie is for Abel Ferrara purists only.

it's a female version of Death Wish but grittier and darker:

this is the ultimate classic 80s revenge exploitation movie!!

    Cracks (2009)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1183665/

Lindsay Lohan's Mean Girls have nothing on this movie.

Eva Green is a major beeyach in this film too!!

This film is Jordan Scott (Ridley Scott's daughter) feature film directorial debut and I hope to see more of her work.

The Disappearance of Alice Creed (2009)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1379177/

This movie features one the biggest WTF moment in movie history since "The Crying Game".

If you can force yourself to sit through the end until the twist, it's worth the watch.

    3/5

    Demolition Man (1993)

fun and silly futuristic action drama with Stallone vs. Snipes, featuring a cute Sandra Bullock

    The Specialist (1994)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0111255/

above average action thriller with Stallone as the hero, an incredibly hot Sharon Stone as the Femme Fatale, James Woods as a very very bad guy that you will love to hate, Rod Steiger and Eric Roberts as the Mafia window dressing; topped with gorgeous Miami and South Beach scenery and featuring a beautiful soundtrack by John Barry.

    Assassins (1995)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112401/

"Lethal Weapon" director Richard Donner's exciting action thriller, based on a well polished script by The Wachowski Brothers, before they became famous for the Matrix Trilogy, with Stallone and Banderas as two hit men dueling against each other over a mark and Julianne Moore, in one of her first starring role, as the mark caught between them.

    Sinners and Saints (2010)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1130969/

I wasn't expecting much from this movie.

No name actor; no name director; never even heard anything about this film before I brought home the DVD.

I thought I'll watch a few minutes of it and then turn it off.

    But WOW!

    Was I wrong!

It's a tight and solid Police Action Thriller.

    Surprisingly good!!

Well scripted, well directed with some serious exciting shootout scenes.

There is going to be a sequel too!

If you haven't seen this; you MUST!

    5/5

if you can, also watch his World War II films:

The Sands of Iwo Jima, Flying Tigers, The Flying Leathernecks, The Fighting Seabees, In Harm's Way, Operation Pacific, They Were Expendable and he also had a small but good role in The Longest Day.

    Yuck! Yuck! Yuck! Yuck!

    Underworld: Awakening (2012)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1496025/

88 min running time and 10 min of it is credit so the movie only actually ran for 78 min, just when it was getting good, it ended and now we have to wait for a sequel

    what a rip!

Because of that, I dropped it by 2 full point and I am only rating it 2/5

    Wrath of the Titans (2012)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1646987/

I thought the first one, Clash of the Titans, was terrible.

    This one is even worse.

How did they manage to make a sequel that's worst than its prequel.

Did the film-makers and screen-writers not read any of the negative reviews for the first film and use them to improve the second film?

    2/5
