    Fair Game (1995)

admittingly, this is not the best action movie in the world but Cindy Crawford is worth the price of admission.

    Tears of the Sun (2003)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0314353/

Supposedly, this was the script to Die Hard 4 that was dropped.

Die Hard 4 was originally titled Die Hard: Tears of the Sun.

I do remember when Die Hard 4 was announced, John McClane was supposed to go into the jungle and save his daughter who was kidnapped by pirates in the Caribbean.

I think this movie worked better as a non Die Hard movie.

The idea of his daughter being kidnapped by pirates in the Caribbean was just too far fetched.

    I rate this movie a 4/5

    Dark of the Sun (1968)

    I'd actually enjoyed this.

This movie was made when Political Correctness didn't exist and movie makers didn't have to worry about offending anyone.

But at 100 min, I can't seem to wonder if there is anything missing.

I read on the internet that there is supposedly an "uncut" version that runs more than 100 min but I haven't been able to find it.

Does anyone know anything about it?

    Death Becomes Her (1992)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0104070/

    This movie was fun when the 2 main characters, played Goldie Hawn and Meryl Streep, were trying to outdo each other to claim Bruce Willis a their own;

then it took a totally different direction and it became no fun at all.

They should had stuck with the original premise.

    Largo Winch (2008)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0808339/

I am not sure what to make of this.

The trailers of this film made it look like a French action film like The Transporter yet the pacing of this film, short action sequence interrupted by long period of dialogues and flashback scenes, didn't help this film at all.

I don't know if the movie-makers wanted to copy James Bond or The Transporter and something held them back or what; I never seen the comics this movie is supposedly based on so I can't be sure.

There is a sequel out there and I won't bother with it.

    question:

why is Melanie Thierry not a James Bond girl?

She would make the perfect Bond Girl!

    Remember her from Babylon A.D.?

Is he that money hungry that he is just taking any crappy script that comes along his way?

    The Faculty (1998)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0133751/

I am so disappointed in Robert Rodriguez and Kevin Williamson.

With a cast that included Jordana Brewster and Famke Janssen and Laura Harris and Salma Hayek and Clea DuVall, they could had done so much more with this film.

    But nooooo!!

    No girls on girls bonding!

No girls on girls body snatching!

Very poorly written script with no imagination whatsoever!!

It was better than the Luc Besson movie and 16 year old Leelee Sobieski is easier on the eyes than Milla.

    Men in Black III (2012)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1409024/

    Sorry!

But you lost me at Men in Black!!

I didn't enjoy the first one that much; the second one was forgettable to me and this one is just totally unnecessary except to milk money out of movie-goers.

    Prometheus (2012)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1446714/

This is a thinking man/woman movie.

You don't have to have seen Alien to watch this but it does help a bit.

The movie is good but I do feel they could had flesh out the characters a bit more and added about 20 more min to the running time to give us a bit more plot information.

Furthermore, the Religious and Christian and Jesus analogy and symbolism was totally unnecessary.

Finally, the film leaves the ending open to two sequels (according to Ridley Scott, there will be 2 more films before it comes full circle to connect to Alien).

    I give it 4.5/5

    p.s.

Does anyone know what the 10/11/12 post-credit scene means?

Is it the DVD release date?

Or maybe a Director's/Extended DVD Cut?

I didn't know that was there. This is the first I heard about it. When I go back to see it again in a couple of days to see it in IMAX 3D,I will look for it. Any way I have no clue other than may they have a surprise for us later/at that date. I'll see what I think more after I go back.

    *edit*

    I just found this...http://www.whatis101112.com/
Notice what it says at the end... Weyland Corp. building better worlds since 10. 11. 12. So evidently Weyland Corp. gets founded this year.

    Prometheus - 9.25/10

Thought this movie was pretty awesome. Ranks among Ridley Scott's best movies in my opinion. His use of 3D was also top notch. I wanted more by the time it was done. Hopefully we get more in the future.
