Syriana: 3.5/5
its a good movie, and the ending truly shows the corruption everywhere, but for the movie itself, it wasnt that good filmed. Just becaue the shaky cam style and some famous actors were used, does not automaticly mean, that the movie is well done.
Man of the house (hd): 1.5/5

I just finished watching Poseidon last night. Rather enjoyed it.
If you can stay calm, while all around you is chaos...then you probably haven't completely understood the seriousness of the situation.

I saw three great classics and one really stupid movie over the past 4 days:
3:10 To Yuma (1957) 5/5
Fort Apache (1948) 4.5/5
A Fistful Of Dynamite (Duck, You Sucker) (Once Upon A Time... The Revolution) (1971) 5/5
... and this one got 1/2 point for the head-biting scene and the last 30 seconds (if the best looking girls didn't die first, I might have rated it higher ):
Abominable (2006) 0.5/5

Fort Apache A film I watched over and over and over and over again as a kid. What a great film.
Sgt. Johnny Beaufort: He says, "The Apaches are a great race," sir. "They've never been conquered. But it is not well for a nation to be always at war. The young men die... the women sing sad songs... and the old ones are hungry in the winter."

I agree. At first I thought I've already seen it, but then I found out that the one I've seen is She Wore A Yellow Ribbon (1949), another John Ford western with John Wayne and very similar to Fort Apache. Both movies are great.
As I see on IMDb, these movies are the first two in Ford's Cavalry Trilogy. The third one is Rio Grande (1950)... I'm not sure if I've see it, maybe I have - as a kid.

Caligula (1979) with Malcolm McDowell, Peter O'Toole and Helen Mirren.
I saw the extended un-cut version.
2.5/5 *I have no idea how to rate this film* o_O
At first I think that Malcolm McDowell was overacting, but this can be see as a positive since Caligula was crazy.
It's very graphical, which leaves no place to imagination, it's almost a porn movie and it is not exaggerated. You saw boobs and p*nises everywhere, you can SEE orgies, anal fisting, rape, blow job ...
I don't know what to think after see the movie. Good? Bad? This is a weird weird movie.*´¨)

Well as I recall it was financed by Penthouse Magazine. I remember seeing 1/2 of it at the cinema when it was released. I would like to claim it was the violence and depravity which made me leave on principle, but the truth was I was very drunk and didn't think that throwing up in the cinema was an especially good look. One of the very few movies I have actually walked out on.
I watched or 1/2 watched (again) a 1998 movie on TV a childrens movie called "Halloweentown" . Nothing wrong with it and Debbie Reynolds looked to be ageing well, but I was tired and falling asleep so went for a nap.
"About Schmidt" is on TV in about an hour. May watch it again if I can keep awake........zzzzzzzzzzz"Heart and humour and humility will lighten your heavy load"

Saw 3: i gota say i disagree with farmboybob, but i guess this is gona be good for everyone else to get 2 sides to the coin. i personally didnt like Saw 3 at all.. i felt it took away the main elements that gave the shock factor in the first 2 movies. O yeah and this movie has some of the crappest torture scenes, they really run outa ideas for sum of them! the twist in the movie was also waay too obvious whereas the twists in the first 2 movies were harder to spot! This movie (for me) took away the shock factor feeling that "woah this cud actually happen to you if der was sadistic people after you"

My favourite evergreen is "Fight Club". Not even because of the story, i like to see Brad Pitt acting.

Caligula is an adult film that was disguised as an "Art" film when it was released and it benefited from the hype it received in the media because it played at regular theater multi-plexes!!
But compared to adult films at the time in the 80s, it was crap!!
