AvP 2 - Solid 3/5. The last 30-40 minutes were good. Great improvement over Part 1.

Cloverfield - 4 / 5
Not very many movies have a written warning posted as you go in but this is one of those few movies. The warning basically said that due to the filming technique used, some audience members may feel symptoms similar to that of motion sickness. I didn't find it at all that bad. Mind you I don't get motion sickness. I think if you do, sit way up top it might not be as bad.
As far as the movie goes, it's good. The story is simple and the running time at just over 80 minutes felt right. It's different than your usual monster attacks NYC movie and I think that's what makes it work. There's also kind of cool images and moments, one of my favourites would be the one with the horse and carriage.
I watched this on a DLP projection system and it was crystal clear. Even the trailers looked sharp. You're waiting for a train, a train that will take you far away. You know where you hope this train will take you, but you can't be sure. But it doesn't matter - because we'll be together.

I Am Legend - The IMAX Experience - 4 / 5
I enjoyed this more than I thought I would given what I had heard about the second half of the film and the sub-par sfx. To be honest, didn't really bother me. I do get the feeling however that they modeled the Alpha Male after Imhotep, at least it seemed that way. I felt it could have been a little longer, the ending felt rushed. Will Smith gives a solid performance, similar to Hanks in Cast Away.
Also had the pleasure of watching the The Dark Knight prologue. Felt a little weird with what has just happened but none the less can't wait to see it.

Michael Clayton - 3 / 5
I had been meaning to see this for awhile now. I was going to wait till it came out on DVD in a few weeks but with it's Oscar noms I figured I should see it now.
Clooney is good, not great. Wilkenson is the real star of the movie and if it wasn't for Bardem, I feel he'd probably win the Oscar.
The movie itself is alright but not what I would expect for a best picture nominee. Gone Baby Gone was a much better thriller and could have taken Clayton's place in the top 5.

Eastern Promises - 3 / 5
Viggo is amazing in this. Great performance. I was a little disappointed in Vincent. He was good but I think is accent started to give way in certain places.
Movie is alright, nothing great.

U23D - 5 / 5
U2 + IMAX + 3D = Awesome!!
Possibly the best concert film ever. The 3D is fantastic and doesn't rely on the usual 3D tricks. My only two complaints would be that even though it's 85 minutes, it's not long enough! They basically trimmed the newer stuff from the set list leaving only the older stuff which is great for hardcore fans and not so hardcore a like. It wasn't loud enough either. Mind you the IMAX sound system is still the best and it was crystal clear.
