What a rip off of Kill Bill, Colombiana, Lucy and other recent better quality action films featuring female heroines.

I guess Salma's career as a box office draw actress is fading and she needed a paycheck, any paycheck.

Even the constant shots of Salma's half covered humongous cleavage can't save this movie from its own banale stupidity and absurdity!

Just finished watching Gallipoli, the 7 part Australian mini-series that just played this month to commemorate and remember the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Gallipoli.

What a tragic waste of human life!

Trying to watch Exodus: Gods and Kings (2014)

    BUT

Christian Bale as Moses? The other white guy as an Egyptian Pharaoh?

Are there no actors in Hollywood that are ethnically and racially correct to play those roles?

Not your standard Jason Statham fare.

    More drama than action.

People on IMDB were complaining about the lack of action in this film... hello? Not every Statham's film has to be over the top action packed like his Transporter movies!

    I tried to watch this:

    The Pyramid (2014)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2799166/

but had to turn it off after only the first 4:07 (that's min and seconds) because one of the main character who is supposed to be an Archaeologist is a girl that sounds like a 12 year old when she speaks and she also doesn't look old enough to be out of high School.

Who the heck cast for this movie anyway?

This reminds me of Denise Richards in 007 The World Is Not Enough being cast as a Nuclear Physicist when she still looks like she was in middle school playing with home chemistry sets and blowing up everything.

I know there are people out there with gambling addiction but the amount of money he gambled away in this movie playing 5 digits bets per hand is totally absurd!

I am surprised this movie was not nominated for any Academy Awards!

    Jupiter Ascending (2015)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1617661/

    Oh my Gawd!

I think The Wachowskis brother and sister (for those of you who do not know this already, they were originally 2 brothers but recently, one of them had a surgical procedure turning him into a female) had good intentions when they came up with the story for this movie but somewhere along the pre-production and production, their creative process and thought was lost.

    This movie is a mess!

    Where do I start?

The pacing of the narrative was erratic due to poor editing.

Who the heck edited this movie? Whoever the hell he or she is, he or she needs to go back to editing school.

Scenes were cut off in mid execution.

Scenes appear out of nowhere without any previous references or exposure.

Characters are shown never to be shown again. Did the Wachowski not have a continuity person?

Great actors like Sean Bean are wasted.

The story is an even bigger convoluted hot mess.

    Who is who?

    What are their motives?

    Who is on which side?

    Wait!

Aren't they all the same family?

The action sequences felt like they were just thrown in because "Yo! We have $176 million dollar budget and most of it is for CGI and SFX so let's have another cool chase in space scene. Don't want that money to go to waste, do we?"

    Hey Wachowskis!

Now that you had the chance to sow your creativity oats with one movie failure after another: Speed Racer, Cloud Atlas, Jupiter Ascending, etc. etc.

Can we have another Matrix Movie?

Dang! I wish there were more!

Without spoiling the movie for anyone who hasn't seen it, the ending was awesome.

Think about the premise of the movie and think about the ending. It was wow!

    We didn't see that coming.

    Last Days in Vietnam (2014)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3279124/

A very sad and moving documentary.

It angers me how we just abandoned so many people who were then rounded up by the Communists and sent to re-education camps where many of them, by the 10 of 1000, died of diseases and starvation.

The U.S.A. should never had gotten involved in the Vietnam War if it was never going to commit fully to get the job done right.

    Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1392190/

There is a scene at the beginning of the film that will make you forget Mel is no longer Max and to good effect.

Hardy portrays Max with a new furor and with very few spoken words - even less words than Mel ever spoken in any of his Mad Max films.

Hardy has finally found his calling as an actor.

Theron surprises you as the post apocalyptic woman who has to protect herself and her few sisters from the men around her who are now more violent preying animals than human.

This movie is an almost non-stop 2 hour adrenaline rush with real world stunts:

not the CGI infused stunts we've seen in many recent car chase movies like The Fast and Furious series and Need For Speed and the Transporter franchise.

By the time this film draws its final frame, you had wished there was another 2 hour of it because it went so fast and so furiously exhilaratingly breathless, you will not once throughout the viewing it had even stop to look at your watch.

George Miller made us wait for a sequel to Thunderdome and it kept getting postponed year after year after year and before we knew it, 30 years went by and I must say, it was worth the wait.

Bring on the sequel and hope it will be as good or even better than Fury Road.

I don't give too many films a 10 but Mad Max Fury Road gets a 10 from me and well deservingly too.

    Furious Seven (2015)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2820852/

Horribly absurd action sequences where the main characters should had been dead.

What made the action sequences worse was the very poor CGI.

$190 million budget and they couldn't hire a better special effects company?

I hope this is the last one!

With Walker gone, there shouldn't be any reason to make any more!

I can't believe I'm saying this, but i agree 100% with j7wild's review of 'Max Mad Fury Road'. There was not one dull moment in this movie. And I add that the soundtrack was amazing. This is what happens when you give a composer a long time to develop the music for a movie. Nowadays composers have such a short amount of time to come up with music for a movie that it tends to become generic and uninspired. Not so with Fury Road....they gave the composer plenty of time to tweak and change the music. A well deserved 10/10 for this movie.
