Forgotten and very under-rated excellent caper movie except for one little flaw IMO.

Why would you do transport $3 million worth of stolen gold bars this way?

Not giving the ending away but you can probably guess it from looking at the above screenshot.

They planned everything perfectly down to the last technical detail and executed everything perfectly except that part.

Busanhaeng (2016) aka Train To Busan

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5700672/

    The Best zombies epidemic movie I'd ever seen;

unlike the mindless cookie cutter Zombie movies that Hollywood keeps cranking out one after another after another half a dozen times or more each year.

This is not the usual zombies movie gorefest.

This is a movie with a heart and a soul cointaining a clear humanity driven message.

    I don't know what criteria does the Academy uses for nominating best actress and best supporting actress and whether actors and actresses in foreign films are allowed to be chosen;

but the young actress that played the grade school daughter in this movie deserves a nomination.

I think the final shoot out scene in the ICU room is one continuous long take using a camera that goes pans the entire 360 degrees of the room with no editing.

Mel Gibson playing the role he does best: a crazy psycho guy with a gun!

The young actress who plays his long lost daughter does a pretty good job too.

    This was actually decent!

I don't much care for these X-Men movies after they reboot it and went to their younger version.

Not sure why I keep watching them.

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2679552/

From James Bond to B-Movie actor in no time. Give him a couple of more years and he will be like Steven Seagal.

It already doesn't help this movie that the script is so bad and the characters written to be so ineptly; what made it worse is there is a part missing in this movie.

A good movie or book should have an intro, setup, middle narrative, final act, climax.

This movie has intro, an incomplete setup, an incomplete narrative, final act, climax.

    Atari: Game Over (2014)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3715406/

In 1982, at the peak of the first video games console wars, where a market was already saturated with over 30 different game consoles, a programmer was asked by his bosses at ATARI and its parent company Warner Bros, to make a video game based on the E.T. movie and make it in 5 weeks.

What happened in the following year in 1983, indirectly helped the video game console industry collapse and ATARI go out of a business. ATARI subsequently buried million of copies of perfectly working game cartridges including titles like E.T., Yar's Revenge, Defender, Tempest, etc into a dump fill in Alagormodo New Mexico and an urban legend was born.

This is the story of ATARI, the E.T. video game, the demise of ATARI and the home game console industry.

    My comments:

I didn't know ATARI went out of business and I didn't know ATARI was an American company and not a Japanese company. In 1983 I was pretty clueless to these things. I also didn't know the ATARI 2600 was the best selling game console at the time, earning ATARI a net profit of almost half a billion dollars in 1980-1982. That's over $1.3 trillion dollars adjusted by inflation to today's dollar.

One good thing that came out of ATARI and the game console war was the Personal Computer. Without ATARI and the game consoles, we would never have PC. Game consoles help build into the public consciousness the acceptance of PC into their home.

I didn't have an ATARI 2600. I had a Radio Shack TRS-80 Model I computer with the maximum available RAM of 64k, a cassette player where the programs and games were on cassette and it also doubled as a speaker, and a black and white CRT screen. No printer. No floppy disk drive. No modem.

I guess Jason, Jessica, Michelle and Tommy Lee needed a paycheck to buy a new Ferrari or new designer bags so they signed up for this made in Bulgaria Thailand Brazil crap!

Even Jessica in a bikini can't save this movie from its own banale absurdity, poor script and bad acting.

This movie flopped at the box office but they left the ending for a sequel. I guess no sequel? I wouldn't mind a sequel.

Darn! Dating and Courting and being single young men and women back then was tough. Good thing we have it easy nowadays: Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, Tinder, iMessage, Text, Facetime, Online Personals, etc etc

    None But the Brave (1965)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0059518/

It was very good humanitarian story wise until the ending was your typical American Hollywood propaganda mindset.

We can't end the movie by leaving those Japanese troops still alive on the island so let's kill them all because that's the kind of happy ending the American audience wants to see!!

So on that note, it loses 1 1/2 rating from me.

    The Siege Of Jadotville (2016)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3922798/

In 1961, during the Congo Republic Civil War, a company of UN peacekeepers composed of 158 troops of the Irish Army were sent to Katanga, in the southern region of Congo, near the uranium and copper and cobalt rich mines of Jadotville, that were under dispute by both the USA and USSR, to help keep the peace and enforce the UN resolution to keep either Superpower from claiming those mines.

The self elected President of the Katanga region sent 4,000-5,000 Belgian and French and Rhodesian mercenaries to attack those UN peacekeepers at their desolate compound in Jadotville.

This is the story of how those 158 Irish troops fought off their attackers for 5 days, inflicting over 300 dead and over 1.000 wounded on the enemy force and only surrendered after their own UN commanders and the UN politicians abandoned them and they themselves ran out of ammunition and supplies, achieving all of this while not losing a single one of their own men.

Then they were held as POW for over a month before being released and allowed to return to Ireland where their own Irish Army commanders threatened to court martial all of them for cowardice and treason and their own Irish government decided to sweep the whole incident under the carpet and keep the events at Jadotville from becoming public.

Only until 2005 did the Irish government acknowledge this incident and recognized their bravery in action and gave the company commander and the company itself a unit citation.
