    CHAPPiE (2015)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1823672/

Not as good as District 9 and worse than Elysium.

I am sorry, Neill Blomkamp, but I can only give this film a 5/10.

Hopefully your next film, Alien 5, will be better!

    The Organization (1971)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0067535/

Sydney Poitier reprises the role of Virgil Tibbs that brought him fame in In The Heat Of The Night.

This time he is a San Francisco Police Lieutenant fighting a Mafia Organization.

There are many young actors in this film that later became famous.

Raul Julia, Daniel J. Travanti (Hill Street Blues) and Ron Paul (who played the U.S. Navy Commander of the U.S.S. Nimitz in The Final Countdown and later in 1984, he played the Cuban Colonel in Red Dawn)

    Cut Bank (2014)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1661820

A moody, dark little obscure film about crime, small town dreams, deception, double crossing and as usual, the lure of quick easy money with stellar performances by Bruce Dern, Michael Stuhlbarg, Teresa Palmer, Billy Bob Thornton, John Malkovich, Oliver Platt and Liam Hemsworth.

I guess once you have become James Bond, your career after that is nothing but crap movies but a guy got to eat and pay the rent, right?

Totally cliched by the number predictable should be direct to video movie.

Went to the theater to see this classic for its 40th anniversary showing on the big screen. Just like how they needed a bigger boat, this needed a bigger screen.

I didn't know it was coming back to the big screen for the 40th anniversary.

    I wish I'd known.

I have only seen it on the big screen once and that was in 1975.

No Dolby and Digital back in those days.

You have another chance. It is part of the Fathom events calendar and showed at 2 & 7pm. It is listed to show again on June 24 (Wednesday) at 2 & 7pm. If you check your local theaters websites ,they should have it listed (mine did). One place out here only has it listed at 7pm while the other is at 2 & 7pm. You can also try going thru here...http://www.fathomevents.com/event/jaws-second-showing

    Oh Dang!

    I missed Goldfinger.

    http://www.cinemark.com/cinemark-classic-series

I have never seen that on the big screen.

I wasn't even born when it came out and then later when I got older and Dad took us to see the James Bond films as they came out or as they were re-released to second run theaters in Italy, starting in about 1970.

We later went back and caught the early ones on VHS.

I think the first James Bond film I'd ever saw was Thunderball at a 2nd run theater in Rome in 1970 and then after that we saw Diamonds Are Forever when it was new. I still remember the Italian title to it: A Cascata di Diamandi.

Drat, I would have loved to have seen that on the big screen. I think the first James Bond I saw in the theater was The Living Daylights.

While we're at it, I never saw The Terminator in there either.

Oh wait,I see they are showing The Terminator out here Wednesday.

I am going to have to check these theater sites more often.

    Michael Mann's Blackhat (2015)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2717822/

    Definitely not Mann's best work.

    It's not even good.

    It's just barely mediocre.

    1.5/5 or 3/10

    It was okay.

The final act was a bit cliche cookie cutter by the number.

    It Follows (2014)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3235888/

This movie started out interesting in the first scene before the main character is introduced and then it just dragged on and on going around in circle pretty much.

Could had been so much better!

It has a 7.0 out of 10 rating on IMDB.

I can only give it a 4 out of 10 or 1.5 out of 5.

    Terminator Genisys (2015)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1340138/

There are a few scenes in there that are almost identical to scenes from the first Terminator movie which were neat.

The rest of the movie not so neat.

This is what happens when a bunch of producers and screenwriters get together and decided to write a movie entry for a money making franchise and they don't follow the 'cannon'.

Also as I said when I first saw the teaser trailer months ago: the actress that plays Sarah Connor is miscast and she is.

Sure Linda Hamilton was not the tough Sarah Connor yet in Terminator but this actress just comes across as a high school kid and she also had a few facial expressions in a couple of dialogue scenes where she just looks like a little girl.

The actors who play John Connor and Kyle Reese are also not convincing and in my opinion miscast. It's like casting Adam Sandler to play Hercules or casting Owen Wilson to play The Transporter.

The only actor in this movie who is believable in his role is Arnold Schwarzenegger as the T-800 Terminator.

Then there is the story line that these new producers and screenwriter came up with!

Not wanting to spoil the film but it reminded me of the first Mission Impossible film.

Someone just took too much liberty when they wrote the plot!

If James Cameron was dead already right now, he would be spinning in his grave!

Do I recommend this film? Sure! When it gets on DVD.

Not worth the $7-$20 at the movie theater.

    Ted 2 (2015)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2637276/

It started out funny and then got boring and tedious.

Not as good as the first one but that's usually the problem with sequels.

    I give it 5 out of 10 or 2.5 out of 5.

p.s. Is it just me or does Amanda Seyfried looks weird like Gollum?
