    Mr. Majestyk (1974)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071866/

The good old days when actors like Charles Bronson, James Coburn, Lee Marvin, Clint Eastwood, Steve McQueen, Paul Newman were tough guys heroes on screen without the help of CGI and many times without body doubles doing stunts for them!

Today's actors like Tom Cruise, George Clooney, Michael Fassbender, Llam Neeson, Christian Bale, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth are all pussies!!

They use stunt men and CGI and they are afraid to get their clothes dirty!

For years I have been told by friends on how great this movie is so I finally picked up a copy and watched it tonight.

What a lame sorry sucky movie!

    I didn't laugh once!

There was not one bit funny about it!

Furthermore, I kept waiting for the big 'payoff' after the long 'buildup' and the movie ended.

    It just freaking ended!

It's AS IF the screenwriters said: "We did all that for the past 80 min and now we have no idea how to finish it so we will just end it!!"

I'm not sure about those other actors you named, but I disagree wholeheartedly about Tom Cruise in regards to stunts. There are stunts that Tom Cruise has done that Bronson, Coburn, Marvin, Eastwood, McQueen, and Newman would never have attempted. The stunts he did in 'Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol' for example were insane. But I guess it would take a bit of an crazy man to attempt those stunts. I watched the extras on the Blu-ray and my respect for Tom Cruise went up a bit because of the stunts he did.

There are a multitude of actors who perform their own stunts, it's just one individual opinion.

Truth is, when Bronson became famous through Cannon in the 80''s, he was already past his prime for doing stunts, of course Cannon being a low budget outfit, little was done to hide this fact and is outright apparent in many of his films.

McQueen's stunts were mostly limited to driving, since he was a racing enthusiast and skilled driver, but due to insurance requirements was regularly replaced by Stunt drivers for the difficult and dangerous shots.

By the number we've seen it before formulaic sword and action and adventure fantasy movie.

It's alright if you have nothing to watch including TV reruns and you have about 100 min to waste.

...and here for the past 18 years I thought Twister was one of the biggest cinematic insult to my intelligence that I'd ever seen.

This movie just beat Twister to win the grand prize for STUPIDEST MORONIC disaster movie ever.

It was so bad: script, acting, dialogue, etc, etc.

I HAD to skip forward just to watch the tornado scenes.

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2713180/

Exactly as I suspected when I first saw the trailer for this film.

Another Hollywood chest beating we American won World War 2 by ourselves damned the millions of men and women that died in the other Allied armies fighting alongside America's armed forces, especially Russia's.

Very historically inaccurate and with the action sequences made to hold the hands of the movie audience because lord forbid if we made it too realistic, the audience may not understand what the heck is going on.

There was only one scene in this entire film that was worth watching and it wasn't even a battle scene.

Great performances by Alice Eve and Bryan Cranston and Logan Marshall-Green can't save this little crime thriller from its own mis-steps and poor writing.

It's too bad because this could had been a gem.

    Not impressed!

The first one was so much better being an origin story.

This one is just an excuse to have lots of machine gun fire and explosions and a bigger CGI SFX budget!

Good performances by Russo and Gyllenhaal YET the only way I can explain this movie is by comparing it to a Michelin-starred fine dining restaurant:

You spent $600 on dinner per person and you still walk away afterward feeling hungry and empty inside:

the dishes are beautifully presented like a priceless work of art, the service is impeccable, but the portions are small and not filling and you don't get seconds.

    Interstellar (2014)

This movie is a fine example of why I think Nolan is an over-rated unoriginal plagiarizing hack!

His Dark Knight films were a sacrilegious executionable offense to all fine film makers.

If Stanley Kubrick wasn't rolling in his grave after Gravity, he has to be rolling in his grave now.

Also there was a major sound problem with the film and it wasn't just limited to one theater.

The way the dialogue audio track was recorded was poor!

Oh Brosnan how far from grace have you fallen!

This is what happens to your movie career if you bad mouth the people who made you rich and famous before your James Bond career has even peaked.

I bet you'd wished you kept your mouth shut and you didn't bit the Broccoli hands that fed you and you'd stayed on for a couple of more Bond films instead of getting fired from the role!

    Horrible Horrible Horrible film.

Nothing but set pieces put together to make a nearly 2 hours movie (if you don't include the ending credits).

Then aside from the unneeded profanity, you had scenes that were out of place that were just put in by the screenwriters as fillers.

There is nothing in the movie that made me care for those characters or for whatever they were looking for or that held my attention.

It took me several viewings over 3 nights for me to finish it from beginning to end.

Also what's the deal with Howard The Duck at the end?
