    A Christmas Carol (3D) - 9/10

The 3D was pretty spectacular. When I saw 'Up' in 3D I thought it worked at times and at other times didn't work. With 'A Christmas Carol' the 3D worked for me almost the whole time. This story is still great after all these years. I have yet to watch the Alastair Sim version, which I am told is the best version of them all. I think I will try to watch that version before Christmas comes around.

    The International - 3/5

I've seen better Tykwer movies, but this one wasn't that bad, that I thought it will be. And I love Naomi Watts... :-) And Clive Owen too.

Another example of pure Pixar magic.

    The Hurt Locker - 3 / 5

It's an interesting story with intriguing characters and a new angle on the war but I didn't find it lived up the hype I had been hearing. I didn't find it at all suspenseful either but maybe it was just my mood while watching it.

    Julie & Julia - 3.5/5

Very funny. Especially when Meryl Streep is on the screen.

Definitely My Friend! If you like movies like "Black Hawk Down" (pure war on the screen), you'll love it!

    2012 - 5.9/10
Pretty good disaster flick. Special effects were great, but I thought the best special effect scene happened half way through the movie. The rest of the action wasn't as exciting. Like all other disaster flicks this had a predictable plot.

Blind Side - 8.1/10 Great acting, especially by Sandra Bullock. A bit of a corny movie, but I like corny movies every now and then so this was a positive for me. It pulled at my heart strings. It looked like Bullock had plastic surgery and it was a bit distracting to me. Why can't these actresses just age gracefully? Must be the pressure of working in a business like Hollywood, where the young women get most of the high profile roles.

    Brothers - 3 / 5

I haven't seen the Danish original so I can't compare the two. The movie as a whole was a bit of a let down and perhaps a little misrepresented by the trailers. The one thing that holds it together is the performances of the three leads, all of whom are outstanding. I was half expecting another typical Hollywood left-wing anti-war movie which this really isn't.
