The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford - 3.5/5

I have this DVD more than one year... I've waited too long. Shame on me. I recommend this movie, but only in theatre.

Went back in time and hunkered down with "The Hudsucker Proxy".

It has to be the most under appreciated Coen brothers film ever made. Newman is just excellent as the sociopathic villian and Tim Robbins is pure geneous when he's directed by others and away from his wife.

Very fun movie to watch but is way too short.
You're waiting for a train, a train that will take you far away. You know where you hope this train will take you, but you can't be sure. But it doesn't matter - because we'll be together.

    Edge of Darkness - 4 / 5

It's been 8 years but finally Mel is back!!! He is looking a little old but he's still the same old Mel and is very good in this. Danny Huston plays the villain very well and Ray Winestone is just great, wish we could have known more about his character.

This is an old school police / revenge thriller. It's almost like something we would have seen in the late 80s but it works and delivers. You do have to pay attention as the plot unfolds as some people may find it confusing.

Now I'm off the see if I can get my hands on a copy of the original BBC mini-series.

they just released the BBC series for American DVD market in 2009 on DVD; the entire miniseries in one set.

    Edge of Darkness - 8/10
I LOVED this movie!! The only thing I felt was that it could have been about twenty minutes longer,
because some of the plot near the end felt extremely rushed! Other than that, was a very well made
character driven thriller. Not once was I checking my watch!
Now I really want to see the original mini-series! (Time for a Netflix!).

Blood. The Las Vampire - 1.5/5

OK. It's definitely not my kind of movie. 0.5 more than 1 only because of fight choreography.
