Great film, more of a character piece than I originally expected

    The Town 4/5
Nothing all that original about the plot, however for the given plot, it was perfectly executed.

    The Killer Inside Me

    2/5

This is the 2nd time Jim Thompson's best crime novel has been adapted into a movie (the previous time was a TV movie with Stacy Keach) and I have to say:

    Total Fail!!

    This is a difficult movie to watch not because of the graphic violence, I don't have any problem with the graphic violence;

after all, nowadays, anytime a movie has the word "killer" in its title and its rated R, you will know there is graphic violence.

this movie's main problem is its murky story telling, poor pacing and convoluted plot!!

Furthermore, I didn't find Jessica Alba believable as a Prostitute and in the scenes with Kate Hudson, she did not exult any sex appeal as she should had for the character she was cast in.

The Great Stanley Kubrick once gave the book one of his highest praise"

"probably the most chilling and believable first-person story of a criminally warped mind I have ever encountered."
why didn't he made the movie himself?

I think I'll go watch "The Grifters" again!!

Tron Legacy - 6.1/10. Nice visuals, but way too dark for 3D. The 3D barely popped at times. I know the real world scenes were meant to look 2D, but I thought the scenes inside the computer program was supposed to be all 3D. Didn't look like it to me. Best 3D so far for me was Avatar, A Christmas Carol and How to Train Your Dragon. This movie was no where near as good as those. At least as far as 3D was concerned.

The story was serviceable. I give it a passing grade. The music was outstanding. Next time Disney, if you are going to make a $200 million dollar movie, maybe don't give it to a first time director. This movie was kind of cool, but could have been way awesome.

In this days where Hollywood cranks out inferior movies and unnecessary reboots and awful remakes quicker than Paris Hilton changes boyfriends,

this is an original, fresh, visually welcome change!!

I hope there will not be a sequel!!

Yes I know that the story is very standard, but I'm rating this one purely for the fun factor.
I haven't had this much fun watching a movie for quite a while!
And yes, I saw it in 2D (I get severe headaches trying to watch only a few minutes of 3D, I can't
imagine the migraine I would have after a two hour movie!!!).

I paid for IMAX 3D and I feel there was not enough 3D sequences and the few 3D sequences that were there were unimpressive!!
