    Thumbs up

    Anatomy of a Murder (1959)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0052561/

    Engrossing courtroom drama and shocking for its honest writing regarding sex and rape;

this movie caused quite a controversy when it was released in 1959.

Even just mentioning the word "Panties" was taboo back then!!

    4.5/5

À Bout Portant aka Point Blank (2010)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1545759/

Excellent Action Thriller out of France without big stunts, explosions, elaborate action sequences, and CGI.

Hollywood can learn a few things from this film!!

    4.5/5

    The Darkest Hour (2011)

what a God Awful movie with a bad script, bad acting, full of cliches and plot holes!!

    Haywire (2011)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1506999/

I had high expectations for this film and it just turned out to be a POS with a few big actors thrown in to attract box office sales.

Soderbergh: do the world a favour and don't make anymore action films!

    The Hindenburg (1975)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0073113/

a very under-rated movie portraying one of the biggest non-natural disasters of the 20th Century (next to Titanic and the Space Shuttle Challenger).

It's beautifully photographed and it's too bad the 2010 DVD release from Universal was VHS quality!!

    4/5

Ladies and Gentlemen, the Fabulous Stains (1982)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082639/

a forgotten, very under-rated film with once again, a very talented under-rated actress Diane Lane who, IMO, deserved the stardom she never received.

Lady Gaga says she based her image and music on Diane Lane's character from this movie!!

By the way, when this movie came out in October 1982, Madonna was just starting.

her first single (DEBUT) was released 6 months earlier and girls were not into her image and clothing yet.

So this movie didn't steal anything from Madonna.

    5/5

the DVD didn't have a trailer on it and I found it on youtube

    The Descent: Part 2 (2009)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1073105/

I had the DVD for 2 years now.

It's been sitting on my shelf and I've been meaning to watch it.

I kept putting it off and putting off and before you know it, 2 years have gone by.

Now that I have seen it, I wish I'd never did.

    This movie is a POS!!

The first one was a Horror Masterpiece by its own right with an awesome ending that is subject to several interpretations!

This movie is just a bad sequel trying to capitalize on the success of the first one!

I had a problem right from the first scene when Sarah shows up at the Tow Truck which is not the ending of the first movie!!

Right there and then I knew something was wrong and I should had turned it off right there and then instead of wasting 94 min of my life watching this crap!!

    Titanic (1997)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120338/

Just watched TITANIC for the umpteenth time!

The scene of Rose having to let go of Jack and blow the whistle until the lifeboat turned around is still the most moving and most iconic scene in movie history!

I always cry at that scene and if it didn't make you shed a few tears, you are dead inside!

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1515091/

I turned it off about 50 min in.

The story makes no sense, you can't follow anything even if you pay 100% attention, the characters are so boring!

I give it 0/5 for the first 50 min of the movie!!

    Man on a Ledge (2012)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1568338/

so and so thriller that reminds me too much of Phone Booth for some reason....

    2.5/5

    This Means War (2012)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1596350/

    this movie had a good premise and it became too juvenile;

furthermore, Reese Witherspoon is a bit too old for the role of the girl stuck between 2 men!!

Nine 1/2 Weeks (1986) (Unrated Version)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091635/

my first viewing of this film since I seen it at the movie theater in 1986.

26 years ago, when I was 21, I'd probably did find this film titillating.

but today, at 47 and having seen what I've seen, I find it zzzzzzzzzzzzz!!

    The Glass House (2001)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0221218/

what a predictable thriller this one is.

not even the combined hotness of Leelee and Diane Lane can save this.

    Tango & Cash (1989)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098439/

    Cobra (1986)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0090859/

2 standard 80s fun action films, with Stallone, Russell, Nielsen and a young Teri Hatcher

I rated both of them 3.5/5

Did you know Cobra was originally the script for Beverly Hills Cop with Stallone as the lead role?

When Stallone made drastic changes to the script making it too expensive for Paramount to produced it, he took it to Warner Bros and turned it into Cobra.

    The Philadelphia Experiment (1984)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087910/

I remember this movie playing at the movie theater where I was working as an assistant manager and I never did see it.

It's alright, not great, not bad; just average.
