They were all government sanctioned, but clandestine because they experimented on volunteers as well as captive humans and mutants. In the Comic Book world, "Weapon X" was being performed by a Canadian government division, funded by the US.

"X-Men - The last stand" with the introduction of Wolverine kind of hints to that since he was hiding in Alberta.

Comic Books also revealed at some point that "Weapon X" actually stood for "10" in Roman numeral, the tenth part of a larger project called "Weapon Plus". The first or "Weapon I" was attributed to the creation of "Captain America", which of course does not really work in the movies because of the rights to the characters.

    Hail, Caesar! (2016)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0475290/

This film suffers from an identity crisis.

It doesn't know what it wants to be.

By the time it ends, you come away with the what was that I just watched feeling.

It's a shame that the directors of this, Joel and Ethan Coen aka Coen brothers, haven't had a great movie since the 1996 Academy Awards Best Picture and Best Director nominated classic film FARGO.

My first viewing of it in 30 years.

It still holds up well and it's still a damn good movie!

Hilarious, never gets old. Such a great cast, oldest thing I've seen Chappelle in. Probably seen it from start to finish at least two dozen times, probably in my at least my top 15 favorite comedies ever.

    The 5th Wave (2016)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2304933/

The latest of the teenage heroines/heroes movies like Hunger Games, Maze Runner, Divergent.

Same old boring stuff - what a waste of talented Chloë Grace Moretz!

    Dirty Grandpa (2016)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1860213/

This film is so wrong on so many level. DeNiro must be not getting decent offers and he did this movie for the money.

The girl in here, Aubrey Plaza, is not very physically attractive but for some reason she is hot as hell!

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2975590/

I can see the WB studio executives at a meeting a while back:

"We need to reboot the Batman franchise.

We can't do another origin story because it's been done to death.

We also need to have a sequel to Man Of Steel.

What to do? What to do?

Oh we know! We'll do a Batman Vs. Superman movie even if both characters do not exist in the same DC comics universe: one is in Gotham City, one is in Metropolis.

Well, that's okay. People are so gullible they will pay $$$$ to watch any comic books live movie adaptation."

Now we will get 4 more movies with Aflack as Batman, so soon after Nolan's crappy Dark Knight trilogy.

Oh I am going to go throw up now.

Now even Kilmer and Clooney's turns as Batman beginning to look like an Oscar performance.

    My 10th viewing of:

Stanley Kubrick's Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0057012/

Every time I watch this I chuckle and how everyone in here from the politicians to the top General Brass down are either just a bunch of trigger happy warmongers or a bunch of inept morons and at all the dark comedy references.

The only person who had any sense is the British Royal Air Force Captain.

I don't think a movie like this one and also its cinematic companion piece, also from 1964, Fail-Safe http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0058083/ can be made today with all the political correctness going around.

One of the best part of the movie in my opinion:

[the President calls the Soviet Premier]
President Merkin Muffley: [to Kissoff] Hello?... Uh... Hello D- uh hello Dmitri? Listen uh uh I can't hear too well. Do you suppose you could turn the music down just a little?... Oh-ho, that's much better... yeah... huh... yes... Fine, I can hear you now, Dmitri... Clear and plain and coming through fine... I'm coming through fine, too, eh?... Good, then... well, then, as you say, we're both coming through fine... Good... Well, it's good that you're fine and... and I'm fine... I agree with you, it's great to be fine... a-ha-ha-ha-ha... Now then, Dmitri, you know how we've always talked about the possibility of something going wrong with the Bomb... The *Bomb*, Dmitri... The *hydrogen* bomb!... Well now, what happened is... ahm... one of our base commanders, he had a sort of... well, he went a little funny in the head... you know... just a little... funny. And, ah... he went and did a silly thing... Well, I'll tell you what he did. He ordered his planes... to attack your country... Ah... Well, let me finish, Dmitri... Let me finish, Dmitri... Well listen, how do you think I feel about it?... Can you *imagine* how I feel about it, Dmitri?... Why do you think I'm calling you? Just to say hello?... *Of course* I like to speak to you!... *Of course* I like to say hello!... Not now, but anytime, Dmitri. I'm just calling up to tell you something terrible has happened... It's a *friendly* call. Of course it's a friendly call... Listen, if it wasn't friendly... you probably wouldn't have even got it... They will *not* reach their targets for at least another hour... I am... I am positive, Dmitri... Listen, I've been all over this with your ambassador. It is not a trick... Well, I'll tell you. We'd like to give your air staff a complete run-down on the targets, the flight plans, and the defensive systems of the planes... Yes! I mean i-i-i-if we're unable to recall the planes, then... I'd say that, ah... well, ah... we're just gonna have to help you destroy them, Dmitri... I know they're our boys... All right, well listen now. Who should we call?... *Who* should we call, Dmitri? The... wha-whe, the People... you, sorry, you faded away there... The People's Central Air Defense Headquarters... Where is that, Dmitri?... In Omsk... Right... Yes... Oh, you'll call them first, will you?... Uh-huh... Listen, do you happen to have the phone number on you, Dmitri?... Whe-ah, what? I see, just ask for Omsk information... Ah-ah-eh-uhm-hm... I'm sorry, too, Dmitri... I'm very sorry... *All right*, you're sorrier than I am, but I am as sorry as well... I am as sorry as you are, Dmitri! Don't say that you're more sorry than I am, because I'm capable of being just as sorry as you are... So we're both sorry, all right?... All right.

    Pretty good!

Have y'all noticed that they use the same song in each Bourne film, including The Bourne Legacy, during the initial rolling of ending credits?

I also just found out the lead actress in this, Alicia Vikander, will be the new Lara Croft in the 3rd Tomb Raider film.
