    Spiderman 3 3/5 For me this was a make or break situation depending on how well they did Venom.

    Shrek the Third - 2.5 / 5

    Funny, but not that funny. Almost an unnecessary sequel. Animation was top notch.

    I finally watched The Departed. I don't understand why I didn't watch this sooner. I should have seen this in theaters. I thought it was great. Not a masterpiece but very good. 4/5

    The Prestige - 4 / 5

    Great movie. Wish I had gone to see it when it was in the theatres. Performances were strong (Bowie was fantastic) and direction was great. Nolan was able to tell the story while jumping back and forth without losing the viewer. The ending wasn't as huge a shocker as I was expecting but it was pretty cool nonetheless.

    The Illusionist - 3 / 5

    I figured I might as well watch the two of them together. I liked it but wasn't wowed by it. Norton was solid as usual but it was Giamatti who carried it. I'm surprised he didn't get a nomination in the supporting role. This one also has a nice little twist at the end. The only thing that bugged me was the fact that Eisenheim's illusions seemed a little too over the top (The Orange Tree) and steeped in the supernatural.

    Blood Diamond - 5 / 5

    Africa is such a beautiful place yet it can also be the most ugly at times. A real eye-opening experience. Both Leo and Djimon give incredible performances.

    The Good Shepherd - 3 / 5

    I was really looking forward to watching this but never got around to seeing it in it's theatrical release but finally watched it on DVD. It wasn't what I was expecting. I was expecting it to be more like a thriller and I suppose a whodunit after it started as they tried to figure out who the mole was.

    I have a problem with Edward Jr. being to 'mole'. I understand that the KGB would have tried to get to Edward through his son but I have a hard time believing that they would have an agent in The Congo (they never explained what Edward Jr. was doing there in the first place and how much time had passed since he overheard them talking about the Bay of Pigs on Deer Island) get close to him and for them to fall in love. Besides, what the hell is he doing talking about that while having sex? I also wonder who threw her out of the plane, the CIA or the KGB?

    Bobby - 3.5 / 5

    I commend Estevez for accomplishing what he was able to do with this movie and who he was able to get in it. My only problem with the movie is the fact that there seemed to be too many characters and some of the stories just didn't interest me but I guess that wasn't the point as it showed all kinds of different people united and brought together because of RFK.

    One thing that I kept thinking about during the real footage of Bobby was how much different the world would be today had he gone on and won the presidency.

    I think the CIA. Not the CIA himself, but the CIA hired people for that.

    I watch "Hot Fuzz" on DVD last night and it's the Funniest Movies I've seen since "Over The Hedge".

    I don't usually get British Humour but I couldn't stop laughing;

    why can't Hollywood make movies like this?
