Golden Compass - 4/5 would be my rating as i didnt read the book. at 2 hours, a little longer than i was expecting and a little too much for my 6yr old son to sit for, but he did and did a good job at that.

Katyn (polish movie directed by Andrzej Wajda) - 1.5/5

0.5 for the music by K. Penderecki
    0.5 for 3 tears
0.5 for the last scene, but I can't say that this last 5 minutes was worth first 105.

This is boring movie, without screenplay, without any good character. Disaster.

not as bad as Narnia and Eragon. It is actually quite enjoyable. There´s lots of dialogs, not that much of an action. But director does better when he´s using CGI (viz Fight of Bears). Final action is quite well done too. Too bad soundtrack is not very good. On the other side, actors were ALL unbelievably great - Blu Richards did great job, and suprisingly for me - even Kidman looked great!

I'm not gonna watch The Golden Compass. One and only copy with subtitles is available in Warsaw - 400 km from my city. I'll wait for DVD. Damn distributors

I'm in the middle of Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. It's hard to say, what chances I have to finish it. I'll try.
