Awesome!! :big grin: I miss movies like that. One good example of CGI overuse is the difference between the old Star Wars and the new Star Wars. I think I speak for everyone here when I say that Star Wars Episode I and II would have been better if they would have stuck with old fashioned effects (and a better script... ) like in the old Star Wars and the Indiana Jones Trilogy.

Yeah, you speak for me at least. I think for example in the stupid Ep II scene with the pokemons-like beasts in the circus

Actually, I thought, for what it was, Ep 2 was pretty damn good, at least from an action perspective. But that's good news about Indy 4. In a movie like that, you need to avoid CG wherever possible.

    That is great news....
You're waiting for a train, a train that will take you far away. You know where you hope this train will take you, but you can't be sure. But it doesn't matter - because we'll be together.

Peter Jackson said he was glad someone with an understanding for special effects took on LotR...

Same can be said... as long as the makers have a true understanding of the benefits AND limits, CGI wouldn't be bad...

It's when you have people who believe CGI as being the engine behind the movie (like makers of Star Wars), that movies get crap...

Look at the difference between friggin' Jah-jah and Gollum...
