    Lightbulb REQUEST Bond trailers

How about next month Movie-List has a Bond season. Problem is JP, I have no capture card, nor ripping software which means that the 13 Bond movie trailers I already have can't help you. Furthermore, I have enclosed a poll, to vote for which Bond movie they would like to see a trailer of.

are you kinda stupid or something? for how long do you have a pc and access to magazins or the internet? seams that you haven't that usesd as information sources at all why do you not use google and check out how to rip a trailer from the dvd. well the idia wich bond trailer to show isn't that bad but when you do such a thing like a poll then do it right because there are 20 bond films and not 18 last but not least i have all bond films on dvd so getting the trailer from all of them is no problem

Now you've mentioned the Bond trailers...

There are 47 trailers from all 22 Bond movies (including Casino Royale and Never Say Never Again) The VOB files are about 5GB altogether...

Some of which has already posted to The Trailer News threads.

I know cos I've ripped them all and began FTPing them to tisoy with my 56k dialup connection. I was up to Thunderball but I gave up cos it took too much of my connection time I couldn't DL anything.

Maybe it'll be easier if I burned all the VOB files on a DVD-R and send it to JPB, so he can convert them all or most of them and do a 'Bond week' (more like a Bond month!)

Mind you the early trailers are in such appalling conditions that I don't think JPB will include in the M-L Classics.

Now you know why we don't do a 'Bond season'...

1st of all, u did need a CAPTURE CARD in order to get these trailers of the DVDs, we do not do that coz its stupid and even degrades the quality due to analog noise that is introduced when using a DVD capture.. not only that, its impossible to capture video from a DVD player coz of Macrovision !!!!

there is only one way to get trailers from a DVD... insert it into your DVD drive and use a ripper like smart ripper !!!

    go here and read
    http://www.riphelp.com/articles/dvdripping.html

i personally like SMart ripper http://www.riphelp.com/downloads/smart-ripper.html

and another the James Bond trailers are in very bad condition and not worth at all converting !!!

Editman started to uploading with the early trailers and they look bad... theres dirt, hair finger prints... etc... even the recent trailers from the 1990s are in bad condition, bad sound..

only the last 4 movies have good trailers ...

also old trailer from pre 1970 or 1960 are BORING and not worth looking at all...

from this era only good trailers are those from Stanly Kubrick movies

    Red face

I can use a capture card because these trailers were cover mounted on a magazine. Still, valid points.

ok, u have to explain to me what u really mean... =(

i am now very confused !!!!

u only need a CAPTURE CARD when u wann rip a trailer from TV/VHS/LASER DISC...

from DVD u can RIP the mpeg2 stream directly with your DVD DRIVE... thats with a PC or a MAC =)

Thanks JP! When I meant cover-mounted, I mean it came with a magazine. Some mags are giving away full crap films on their covers. The point of putting 18 Bond films instead of 20 is because TWINE and DAD are already up and it would be pointless to include them. Carl is right about old trailers because most are hilariously tacky. (Bond is "on the job") The Dr. No trailer I have is interesting because it has a Connery as Bond voice over (e.g. when Bond is chased, he says that she sent them to make sure he knew the way) The trailers on my disc appear to be remastered as they have few pops or crackles, sound is OK. Heck, the Some Like It Hot trailer, which is on the same disc, is not in bad condition itself...

well i posted or replied with some help on how to make trailers into QT.... but i dunno why he stills mentions a capture card...

cover mounted DVD or retail DVD... its still a DVD with video in it encoded into mpeg2 which can be ripped and converted into any video file format u wish...

insert the DVD disc/ mounted DVD or whereever u got that DVD into your DVD ROM Drive... use a ripper program to rip the chapter or trailer u want and then convert that file which u just ripped into your Hard drive..
