Plot Summary: In the heartwarming film "Big Fish," director Tim Burton ("Batman," 'Edward Scissorhands") brings his inimitable imagination on a journey that delves deep into a fabled relationship between a father and his son. Edward Bloom (Finney) has always been a teller of tall-tales about his oversized life as a young man (McGregor), when his wanderlust led him on an unlikely journey from a small-town in Alabama, around the world, and back again. His mythic exploits dart from the delightful to the delirious as he weaves epic tales about giants, blizzards, a witch and conjoined-twin lounge singers. With his larger-than-life stories, Bloom charms almost everyone he encounters except for his estranged son Will (Crudup). When his mother Sandra (Lange) tries to reunite them, Will must learn how to separate fact from fiction as he comes to terms with his father's great feats and great failings.

We aren't doing anything wrong. We aren't stealing their bandwidth, their users nor making fun of ComingSoon.
trailergod did the right thing in putting the poster on the ML server so ML comitts to the bandwidth. There is no logo on the poster or policy to say we can not use their poster. Most sites say, when using information from their site, please place a link back to the source. Other than that, sites or ppl don't care.
Even so, trailergod said it didn't come from ComingSoon but it came from another site.
Case closed. Overracting this individual is! Another person thinks he owns the internet.Last edited by Kn'thrak; 09-07-2003 at 12:16 PM.

I was not talking about the poster (every site on the web has it up), I'm talking about the movie preview content. We are not egocentric, but it takes a hell of a lot of work to bring this kind of content to you guys, the least you can do is post a link to where you got it from.
Thanks.Last edited by Coming Soon!; 09-07-2003 at 11:23 PM.

Just some general information about the supposed “plagiarized” passage Tisoy posted.
The alleged Coming Soon! Synopsis has a:
Flesch Reading Ease of 46.7
Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level of 12
Indicating that it has the equivalent readability of a 12th grader.
Interesting enough the JoBlo blurb has the same statistics. So they are essentially identical... Which means probably one of two things. Either one of the two websites originally wrote it and plagiarized it, or it is has been typed word for word from an original press release issued by film studios in trade packages (if this is the case I will eventually get my hands on it, since I work in Australia’s largest video retail/rental chain). In either case some form of copying has occurred, however if Coming Soon! Is anal enough to chase down someone posting information in a forum, for what could be deemed as educational and informative purposes (in which case referencing is not required) perhaps they would like to chase down the person who supposedly originally wrote the passage and either ask permission to use it, or question JoBlo over how they got their hands on it.
And Coming Soon! I really doubt the original source was from your website, since your site and readership would not likely be large enough to invoke such a number of near perfect replications, mind you if you wanna chase down all these people for using your content without permission be my guest… maybe when your finished with Coming Soon! You could work for the RIAA.
