It isn't often that I purchase a DVD for a movie I already own, but that is what I did tonight. I got the 2-disc collectors edition of Hoosiers. If you didn't know, the movie was (very, very loosely) based on the real 1954 Milan Indians. The special features disc contains a documentary about the Milan team, as well as the 1954 Indiana High School Baseketball Championship game between the Milan and Muncie Central.
Oh, did I mention that Milan is in my home county? (Although to be fair, Milan High School was a county rival to my high school, but that is beside the point.) Yeah, that was worth buying the movie a second time.

Today, I got Hellboy II: The Golden Army. I've really been beefing up my DVD collection recently.
Edit: And I ordered Batman Beyond Season 2 and Justice League Season 2. That will give me all of the DCAU except Justice League Unlimited Season 1 (well, I also won't have Static Shock or The Zeta Project, but I was never into those, anyway).Last edited by corfy; 04-26-2012 at 06:48 PM.

I picked up Eureka "seasons" 3.0 and 3.5 the other day (so now, between DVD and DVR, I'm only missing about eight episodes of the series, not counting the three episodes that haven't aired yet). My wife picked up the entire series of "Are You Being Served Again?". And today, I ordered "Transformers: The Movie" (I will finally have that movie on DVD... only had it on VHS before).

I grabbed Eureka Season 4.0 (which means, between DVDs and my DVR, I now have every Eureka episode aired) and Justice League Unlimited Season One (which completes my DCAU collection).

I'd just brought home the Blu-Ray to one of my all time favorite movies from the 80s!!
If they ever remake this, I will go postal!!

I don't much care for that DVD cover;
I think the movie studios been taking too much liberties with some of these DVD covers lately and making them crappy!!
I'd preferred they used the original movie poster as the DVD cover:

It's like the DVD cover for another 80s classic:
Night of the Comet
The cover is horrendous and it completely misses the point and message of the movie.
They should had stayed with the original movie poster:

Well, at least after almost 30 years (next year will be the 30th Anniversary), I can finally read some of the writing on the screen in the NORAD command center that I couldn't read on VHS (and no, I never did own the regular DVD of WarGames)
