    Miramax cuts Ben and J'Lo out of Jersey Girl ads

    Kevin Smith reacts rather violently...

    Director Kevin Smith is shooting down widespread reports that Miramax, following the failure of Gigli, is downplaying the roles of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez in the upcoming movie Jersey Girl, removing their pictures from ads and posters, and substituting Smith's. On his website, www.viewaskew.com, Smith remarks: "Market the movie on me? So f****** ridiculous. Trust me: I've seen the marketing concepts on this movie from as early on as when we were still shooting up to just yesterday. EVERY poster is centered around Affleck."
