Opinions about the new Battlestar Galactica miniseries

Well, more so a tv movie, has anyone had a chance to catch this show which first airred last year?

I liked this new look of this adaption. Never liked the old series but the second part of this new miniseries sure got me wanting more with the cliffhanger. WOOT WOOT!!

The special effects were top class. The space battles were real with the added war camera effect. Wooie!!! Beats Space: AAB's battles. I want more

There is now talks of a series to be made from this. The viewings in the U.S. reached record levels on the SciFi channel in the U.S.

Any other opinions or small/short reviews for the lucky ppl who saw this?

I think it remained very true to the original flavor of the series, while adding in some excellent new twists.

The character development and interaction was top notch, with MAJOR potential if they do the series for it.

Could be the next Sci-Fi channel hit show.....still missing Farscape

yes it is. If you read on every single tv show episodes, it says at the end something close to...

This Motion Picture is Protected under the laws of Canada, The United States & and other countries, and its unauthorized duplication, distribution or exhibition may result in civil liability & criminal proseccution.
That is taken from a Stargate: SG-1 episodes but most series included movies have close the same rights protecting the show. The only show I can think of that doesn't have this (might be mistaken) is South Park.

The idea is the same with DVDs. If you own a copy, you are allowed to copy it for private use under the laws of copyright but if then shown publicly, its illegal. That is why there is TV, radio & advertisements. They pay rights to broadcast programs publicly. You pay the right to own a copy of a T.V. show or movie but do not have the right to distribute it publicly (by means of copying).
